Hell...I can't believe I've been staring at our main problem of winning and it's that no good stinkn' punter. Fire his a## and then...SHAZAM!!!...presto...we'll start winning again. Damit...that Phil is a true genius.

why da hell wont fulmer just tell da punter to punt it outta bounds..
is he a retard?

seriously

I wouldn't call anyone a retard if you either a) do not know how to spell "the" or b) are too lazy to type "the"

I don't think people realize just how big a loss he has been.

You don't miss your water until the well runs dry!

About this time last year the screaming Negavols wanted to get rid of Colquitt and all of the assistants because they were too predictable and unimaginative.

Well the lovable Negavols got their wish and we're rid of Colquitt which allowed to have someone else to bitch about. You don't miss your water until the well runs dry. Sometimes folks don't understand how well off they are.

I don't believe this is a matter of "da" coach not telling him to punt it out, but more so a problem of the punter not being able to do it. I heard a couple weeks back that CPF has been on his butt all season at practice for not being able to punt the ball where he needs him to.

I thought that the punt that was returned for the TD was actually kicked pretty high..we had 3 guys very near him when he caught it.

Our guys on special teams seem very indecisive in their coverage. Our guys are so worried about being beat that they don't use their speed and come flying to make the play. Instead, they try to set themselves to not get faked out of their shoes and end up letting the returner blow by them. I've also noticed that we rarely put our best athletes or defenders on special teams. It seems like our special teams is reserved for players who can't crack the starting rotation or get much PT at their normal position. Look at who UF puts on special teams compared to UT and tell me if we put enough talent out there. Why isn't Eric Berry, Vinson or Rogan on special teams coverage? I assume that we are trying to keep them from getting injured but meanwhile we are losing. Does anybody have a copy of our special teams depth chart?

Did you black out and not read the part of the article where Fulmer called for that punt to be closer to the sideline? The reason we are changing punters is because Cunningham is inconsistent with directional punting and on top of that he kicks short line-drives.

He has nobody to blame but himself. If Phil was smart, he would have kicked him off the team after the second DWI.

Kid is a hell of a talent, but if you can't sustain your obligations as a student athlete - you deserve the boot.

Of course, the only reason he's still around is because of the family line.

he's a walk-on who wasnt recruited and he's replacing colquitt till the suspensions over....combine that with the word i heard all summer on him having a slow release and a moderate leg, and i didnt expect him to be too good at all

even colquitt at least started punting out of bounds to jackson in cal

How do we know that CFP did not tell him to kick it out of bounds? Not defending the coach. I think it all goes back to lack of execution. Coaching staff needs to figure out how to get these guys motivated to work on the execution of the plays called.

Well if we punted on 3rd down it might cut down on the return yards.

:eek:lol:eek:n one series in the 3rd quarter i screamed at the TV on 3rd down to quick kick it......

well we would have to mix it up ! punt on 1st....2nd etc....keep em guessing! Plus it would open up the run game if they have to stay in return mode!

To quote my junior high coach, "Just because they put a guy back there, it doesn't mean you have to kick it to him!" This came after our punter kicked it to a guy that had already taken a punt to the house. On the Phillip Fulmer Show he said "we just missed some tackles" but why do you even put the ball in that guys hands. If the last two years didn't convince you he's good, the opening kickoff should have. The not learning from mistakes is what really kills me about this coaching staff. Fulmer's excuse for the Tebow jump pass was "they lined up a bit differently." Are you kiddin me? Due to the amount of times the replays have been shown on espn, anybody with basic cable knows you need to watch for that play out of Florida on the goal line. The mistakes in the game saturday were almost comical.

You just got to know Cunningham is laughing inside. :dance2: after Fulmer used him as the scape-goat for the Fla loss. I guess Fulmer is still looking for that fall guy for yesterday's loss. He's probably saying, "dammit Cunningham...he was suppose to screw up again and now I've got to find someone else to blame".
