I just don't understand why we keep giving him raises and extensions when we have not had any kind of championship in this century. By the way, 1st place in the Eastern Division is NOT a championship. Simply means we made it to Atlanta to get beat in ANOTHER big game!

Chavis isnt head coach material. Great D-Coordinator. I believe it would go to Cutcliff.

My biggest defensive disappointment this year was our not bringing the house against Jamarcus Russell on the very last play of their touchdown drive to win the game...if we had hurried him, I don't think he could have gotten off a decent throw down there...and we would have beaten LSU...

You're right . . . We should bring in a DC that has never coached defense and a head coach who got fired at Ole Miss.

Well lets see here. Old Maid gets the pick of what's left after UT, FL, GA, LSU, ALA, Auburn, and ARK in recruiting. So based on a talent level as far as that goes, then Cut would have a HELLUVA team here at UT compared to Old Maid. As far as Troop goes, he has made every facet of the team he has coached better here at UT and I wouldn't expect anything different at any other position he coached on this team.

Shula came from the Dolphins and was their QB coach. Also he was an OC for the Bucs from 96-99 and led them to the NFC Championship game. So much for not being proven.

Yeah he proved alot really he did.:eek:lol:

Do you think Fulmer could coach in the NFL??? NOPE

Do you think if Fulmer was the coach at Bama and went 9-3 one year, then 5-6 the next year that he is still the HC?? NOPE

We have GIVEN him EVERYTHING he needs to win and get us championships and he ISN'T doing it. Plus Shula came into a bad situation at Bama in the first place. He took that team to 10-2 and they still fired him after a losing season. Our AD doesn't have the guts to stand up to Fulmer and demand that he get the team back to the plateau it once was about 10 years ago. So until then, Fulmer gets fatter off of our tax dollars paying him. Remember it is a STATE school so we do pay his salary.

But if that happened Chavis would get the nod so same boat same leak.

this sums up any idea of keeping someone on the current staff. won't solve anything.

A dollar and a box of donuts and i bet he takes it...lmao
I'll donate the fried chicken. did anyone hear the comment about the teams eating 5,000 lbs of meat at that outback thing? i bet fulmer and chavis were responsible for 1/5 of it.

I request that Fulmer stays and continues to rebuild the program. Fans are in no place to call for his head after the success we acheived this season, and the turn-around in national perception of the Volunteers after a 5-6 season. This year was a big step towards regaining championship glory, and next year we will start to see the fruits of the turnaround with Phillip Fulmer as Head Coach.

turn around in nation perception? Go over to the cal boards and see what they think of us, and we beat them. They are calling us paper tigers. Only turn around is no one thinks we are a powerhouse anymore, we are just a desent team to play, beat, and raise your reputation.
