These folks whom we've loved over the last few years (Pruitt being the exception), both in the program and here on VolNation, have destroyed their careers, their legacies, their integrity, their "cred," and seriously tarnished our football team along the way.

Hope today is the day our beloved program reverses course and we start building a program the right way.

What a fitting end to this chapter of the last fifteen years of UT football. Can't wait for the 30 for 30 a decade from now to get the full story.

I don't think they will make a 30 For 30 about the last 13 years of Tennessee football. "Team sucks, makes stupid decisions, continues to suck, spends enough money that at this point they could've hired any coach they wanted, continues to suck, makes stupid decisions, champions of life, Vietnam, world war 2, five star hearts, McDonald's bags, still sucks, etc." Sounds more like a standup comedy bit.

haha people here who hate on fulmer but then eat up garbage from higher education administrators like plowman are so stupid. One guy is old school football guy, the other is in higher ed
Have you ever noticed Fulmer has rarely held himself accountable for any shortcomings/ issues that have plagued the football program dating back to his time as coach. Quick to bask
in the glory yet stubborn to anything of detriment.

If you were in that role, would you throw yourself under the bus in the media? Not saying his record is perfect, but i trust a guy like fulmer over some higher ed dork any day of the week

Two coaches sacrificed their careers and Vol football to the insane notion that JG would ever become a good SEC QB. If you are looking for one constant... one lynch pin... that's it.

It isn't because JG lacks talent or is a bad person. He just never had the mental talent to translate the physical ability he demonstrated in practice to gameday. He was a guy who mastered drills but could never get it done in combat.

Fulmer was fired twice for the same leadership flaw. He didn't know how to hire or hold people accountable except to micromanage them.

Fulmer got fired this last time because his guys were out there giving recruits mcdonalds bags of cash.... now i think that is the right strategy, just the wrong execution. cash in mcdonalds bags sounds clever for 1995, but in 2021 not so much. maybe giving the recruits some bitcoin would be more up with the times

Yeah Im sure you do. Obviously you haven’t leaned much as of yet.
ok man. I've only watched these higher ed administrators ruin UT for the last 20 years. From Mike Hamilton to Bev Davenport to John currie to Donde Plowman and Jimmy Cheek. Heck i cant think of all of them. Look at our football program and look at student life (greek life) at UT and then look at why do all the kids that would normally have gone to UT from the west side of the state choose to go other places like ole miss, arkansas, alabama or miss state. Its because UT administration has been full of higher ed losers for a really long time

Currie was on the job 9 months before Fulmer backstabbed him and took his job. Not a big Mike Leach fan, but....
