Fulmer mentions VolNation in post-game comments

"He doesn't need to be listening to anything on the internet or VolNation, otherwise it’ll drive you nuts"

From his look on that video it seems like Phil may have been dropping in on the nation (otherwise it’ll drive you nuts). He looked so down; I think I made some of the same faces he did in that interview last night during the game. I, like most, really do feel bad for the guy at this point. The coaches seem to be calling some descent plays and putting some good series together but then you get Crompton out there throwing balls 30yrds past the receiver into the 4th row or giving a weak handoff to a running back and it just kills any momentum we have; a hitch-and-go is different from a hitch Jonny! Does JC even know the play book; watching him these past few weeks I really wonder sometimes. If Fulmer hopes to salvage any part of this season he needs to at least try out Stephens or Coleman, maybe it'd actually make Crompton try a little bit. Head up CPF, as much as this nation wants a change to occur we want to see you go out on a good note.

I have been telling this board for years that I am Pat Summitt, but nobody seems to believe me. :ermm:

Hi Coach Summitt.... how yu doing girlfriend? :)
Wow, I felt bad for Coach Fulmer on this video, that is one worried looking man....... sounded like he was almost in tears but he's aware of our mighty
VOLNATION.... we rock :rock::rock:

GO VOLS.......
GO BIG ORANGE ....

If he wants to make the bigboy money, then he needs to accept bigboy responsibility. I would love to make near 3 million a year and have to meet low expecatations like some of you guys have.

He does look worn out. He does look tired. But he isn't getting it done. There's not one person amongst you die-hard Fulmer supporters that can provide any evidence that he is getting it done.

Is this starting to look like Michigan last year. Carr knew it was over and he didn't want to give it up(hope that is)

Carr finally had the good sense to step down, and he is probably remembered better for it. Fulmer is hanging on with everything he has so he can get Neyland's record. That won't sit well with Vol fans when he leaves this program in ruins.

We have enough older guys on offense that mastering a new system should be as painless as possible. Oregon last season did farily well with a new offensive coordinator. USC in 2005. Auburn in 2004. Florida in 2005 was better than this and their offensive philosophy shifted much further than we did from Cutliffe to Clawson.

It doesn't matter how much talent you have overall. No team is any stronger than its weakest link and this year that link is the QB which doesn't bode well.

Could Crompton be a good QB? Not likely but who knows? For the time being and likely the rest of the season he must be benched and we need someone in there who can make snap decisions, garner respect from the other players, and be able to do a simple handoff without the entire vol nation holding their breath for the turnover.

Phil looks tired and wore down. I hope he retires at the end of the season not only for the better of the program, but his long term health.

Coach Fulmer has more passion and love for this team than any of you, its obvious in the way he is looking. I hope the players will take his advice and not read the negative crap on this site. WE are all frusrated and HATE to see our VOLS lose . I do agree its time for a change at QB for sure. Crompton just isnt getting the job done. Enjoyed the crowd around me at the game yesterday. Section 36 row 34. great bunch of folks, maybe a couple of nay sayers, but overall great. We didnt get the job done, but 80,000 people in the stands thought Tennesee was going to pull it out, especially the two auburn fans in front of me who left around the 9:00 mark, they couldnt take the enthusian and confidence of the UT crowd. I just wish it would have went different.
GO VOLS WIN THE REST:rock:

Looks like this is the last Fulmerite.

By the way, it was great seeing Bruce Pearl at the game yesterday with D. Bradshaw. Thanks for your support Coach WE are ready for the basketball championship

Looks like this is the last Fulmerite.

Were you there ?? I believe the great number around me agree as one lone young punk was yelling fire fulmer fire fulmer, . By the way he got no support from anyone around. Matter of fact, most agreed, the coach wasnt making the horrible throws or throwing to the wrong reciever when another was wide open.
A man who has dedicated his whole adult life to UT football deserves more respect.

Shame on you

I guess pardon me for having an opinion. Fulmer has a great legacy with the NC in his pocket, but he should have listened to the wife and retired on top. That's my opinion. :good!:

everyone has an opinion, Thats no problem, I believe I did wake up and still found myself in America, at least for now. Who knows what the future holds. I just want people to realize the effect this stuff has on our program. Dont think for a minute these yound kids dont read this and other sites, and that goes for recruits also. You know, as much as I hate the GA bulldogs, yesterday at halftime they trailed 31-0 and their fans stood and cheered as they left the field. They encouraged them , they didnt boo them. Imagine that. ( I still hate them though )

Opions , cool you and everyone deserve to have them. I just try to look at the whole picture. Believe me , living in Alabama ( especially the year they are having so far ) no one is more frustrated or hating this losing more than I, but I will still proudly wear my orange, decorate my car and go to as many games as I can, and be hoarse for a day or two afterwards as long as I breathe GO VOLS

Man, he does look bad. I actually feel sorry for the guy too. I think if Fulmer benches Crompton his blood pressure will fall 20 points. We have to play better on offense without him in there. He is so bad..... I really believe we would easily be 3-1 now if not for JC's horrible playing. Just hurt his feelings Fulmer and get it over with. Trust me, you will feel better in the long run.

Great pub for VN but I agree with everyone else, Phil looks like hell!

Shame on you for your generalization of someone that I suspect you know nothing about.

Also, I have heard it reported in the press that the Vols were greeted with loud boos buy UT fans as they left the field, so apparently it was not the kumbaya that you want us to believe it was.

My brother, a GA grad and season ticket holder, who was at the game said that the puppies were booed numerous times during that game.

The only GA fans standing and cheering at halftime were the ones that wanted to get on TV...The stadium started to empty by the middle of the third

Who are you going to believe, your lying eyes or Tennman?

Also, If you read the Mutt message board, a lot of posters are questioning the abilities of CMR.

We all give him so much crap. And I agree the last 10 years have had their ups and downs (way too many downs).

But he took us to the mountaintop. For that I'll always be grateful. But I've never seen him look so deflated, so hopeless, so worn out, or so depressed. He really needs to call it quits, more for himself than for the fans who want to see Tennessee back on top.

+1 Well Said!!!!
