Fulmer may not be a Lane Kiffin fan. Don't think he had too much respect for him or Dooley. He actually liked Butch. Just saying.

I don't know why people can't understand that.

Here is the thing. Some people seem to think these 2nd rate coaches can somehow improve or change yet these same people cant imagine that he may have grown a little. I don't know how much he has grown but it some change is obvious.

Kiffin will not coach here again and he knows it. To many people in power don’t like him for trying to change our traditions. I’m afraid we are about to finally realize the administration does not care about football, the believe 102,000 will show up and donate their money regardless of the record. As long as we are average, they make their money, after all, they have for 10 years.

Sadly, I fear you are correct.

What the hell does it matter if Fulmer doesn’t like Kiffin. From what we’ve seen and heard, sounds like Fulmer has any say in this coaching search.

So our itry bitty feelings are butt hurt and we don’t want to go after who is the best realistic option out there.

That’s just freaking great.

We deserve whatever hell awaits us.

Fulmer doesn’t like Kiffin, but Peyton and Haslam are blocking it. That much is documented by mulriple media outlets.

Pretty sure Kiffin is the biggest block for Kiffin.

I recall the night he left Knoxville under the cover of darkness without so much as a "KMA!".

And it is obvious we still have not recovered from the mess he left behind.

Seriously? Those wanting Kiffin back are one of two things, childish or have short term memories. Not just no but HECK no!

Ha. We all have short term memory's and we suck in all of them. Kiff is the only serious candidate that has won in the SEC, has recruited well, is still young and has his current team in a conference championship game this year. This is a no brainer! That's why so many fans want Lane. Hiring someone else's baggage or another mediocre out of conference guy only to watch him get chewed up in this conference is what's stupid. For what? To show Lane your not over him? :whistling:

Why not. They feel up at Nebraska.

I realize that Kiffin acted out at times during his tenure as UTHC, in ways I thought were foolish. But the man is not going to disappear again for a dream offer from USC. And he lived for a few years under the yoke of Nick Saban, without embarrassing himself or the bammers. People do learn to modify their behavior. He does appear like a mature adult, now. People are different, and Kiffin does have a personality. But his professional manner seems to have matured significantly.

Just relax guys. Fulmer indeed cannot stand Kiffin as well as many fans, administrators. Etc. Same thing at Southern Cal - people question how he was ever hired and no way want him back in his one-time dream job. All the petitions, chants, tweets and talk radio calls will not bring your boy back to Knoxville. He might get an interview down the road in Chattanooga but that is debatable. Just kind of accept it and you young fellers learn from this. If you do stumble into a great job where someone gives you a great opportunity - have sense enough to know it and don't create maximum disruption if you do quit. Be grateful for your good fortune and respect those who hired you. I know this is a tough love message for those with a crush on Lane and enjoy his brash unorthodox style for a coach. Just relax and don't agonize over it. In January I plan to be in Florida and will visit FAU out of curiosity and see for myself The House That Kiff Built on campus.
