Why do we think Tee is a head coach / CEO like others that can win a conference championship and go to the playoffs?

If it's Steele and Cutcliffe I will have a very merry Christmas. Cutcliffe would be the perfect person to groom his own replacement 6-7 years from now. Think it's much more likely to be Miles/Martin/ Steele. Which would be amazing too.

Leach would be less of a gamble or maybe not even a gamble.......but right now maybe it would be wiser to hire Martin.

Martin, recruit's much better than leach. Martin could unite the players, former players, fans, and alum. Martin would also bring in a better scheme "fit" than Leach (not saying Leach's system is not good nor saying that it couldn't work here). Martin is much younger, and is all VOL......he has been waiting to come back to Tennessee........he would have much more desire and passion simply because he is a VFL.

Certainly Leach would have been better for the short term.....however hopefully they are now thinking "long term".........and on a long term level Martin is a much better choice.........he could also bring in more of the Vol family.

Only my opinion.

Would not surprise me if Phil relied on VFL assets, but assigning assistants to a HC might not work. Would like to see Casey Clausen back in the ville.

Don’t KNOW either way. Chip Kelly had never been anything but a coordinator at LOWER LEVEL schools. Dabo Swinney had never been a COORDINATOR. Edit: Swinney made OC the same year he took over as interim HC.

It makes too much sense, as a result, we'll be relegated to another "I know better than You (the fans)" selection. Tee Martin WILL NOT be the draw or have the success that Mike Leach would--the stadium would be packed. Yes, Tee is a sentimental choice but Fulmer will be telling him exactly what to do. It's pretty disgusting, here Currie finally makes the right choice & the administration shoots him out of the saddle. Sad, sad, sad!

They are probably going to rename the stadium after Cut. He has no stress and they love him. He is old and has it on cruise control at a basketball school.

Exactly. Not one person on here has any clue which coach would be best
