FULMER LEGACY: (What will sports historians write??)

Also, Clausen threw for around 300 yards in that game, for everyone that faults him for a lack of championships, he did all he could to win it that night.

The one play of that game that I feel things changed on...Clausen's intentional grounding play in the first half. We had a decent lead, we were driving...one more score and we put the game away. Instead Clausen has the grounding and we left the door open.

Im not saying its Clausen's fault we lost that game, but I wouldnt say he is absolved of having any hand in the loss.

He'll be around awhile, and if we win a couple more NC, he'll have more than a street named after him..

Average coach who done well when he had an NFL team's worth of talent (see 1998). When talent is equal or close to equal, he gets beat.

Very good recruiter, rarely developed players' talents, below average head coach, sub par disciplinarian, poor motivator, rarely won the big games.

Everyone on this post has hit the mark. I've read all the committ's and agree with most. I beleive that Coach Fulmer will fall into the same catagory as a Frank Beamer or as some have said, Vince Dooley. Coach Fulmer has done more right for our program than wrong. I don't want him to go out on the bottom. However, I'm not sure he has it in him to get to the top of the mountain again. Age and desire for a championship works agaisnt that happening. Being a long time supporter of this program hurts that we are in the situation we are in right now. I truely have no answers. I wish all of you a happy new year, and I hope to see the true fans in California on Sept.1st.
