Fulmer: Josh Dobbs reminds him of Heath Shuler

Except for the fact that Shuler isn't, well, known for being the sharpest tool in the shed. I like the guy a lot, but Dobbs seems on a whole other level between the ears.

Guy put together a successful real estate company and became a congressman, yeah, he's a real dumbass.

The biggest difference between them is that Heath had a rocket for an arm and Dobbs doesn't.

I knew Heath personally from the time he was toddler. Great guy. Great with people. One of the best athletes UT has ever had at any position. If he had not been a QB then he could have played S or even bulked up and played LB.

But... his academic success was a matter of dedication and hard work. It didn't come easy to him.

BTW, there is no comparison between the arms. Shuler probably had the strongest arm to pass through UT.

So he had to work at it, who cares? You don't graduate college, start a very successful real estate company and then become a congressman by being an idiot.

I know a lot of people who aren't "idiots" who struggle with school learning. Dobbs is naturally gifted academically. It comes easy to him. Heath was blessed in many ways... that just wasn't one of them.

FWIW, there are A LOT of idiots who become congressman.

If you think people that make it to Congress are intelligent, then you are.....well...."mis-informed". Nancy Pelosi anyone....anyone?

In terms of the real estate company, if any of us had several million dollars to invest somewhere, we'd suddenly be surrounded by very smart people who could turn 5 million into 10 million (i.e. it takes money to make money).

I'm not taking anything away from Heath. He's one of my top-3 QBs and had the best arm of any QB up to this point. Holloway would give him a good run for his money in terms of athleticism.

Per Fulmer's comment Dobbs had to drastically improve his passing game in the off season. Heath had the strongest arm of ANY UT QB I have ever seen play and was accurate.
