Fulmer is still in a "painful state"

i agree the change needed to be made.

i'm just saying that there isn't a florida fan worried about the streak ending anytime soon even though fulmer is no longer the coach.

Oh I agree, I won't say how many years i think it'll be til we beat you guys (dont want the board to erupt in laughter)

No.....give me a coach that can out coach our competition in the East.

Did you realize that we have a new coach, who has yet to coach a game?

You can borrow one if my ponchos but I can't help you with being heckled. Maybe you should take a girl with you to the games so there is someone to defend your delicate soul.

It is funny to me that the same people that are bashing Fulmer in this thread for being in a painful place, are the same ones that can't let go of Fulmer either, you just keep commenting about him. LET IT GO!

Same with the Knoxville press, LET IT GO!

Fulmer got fired from his alma mater. Was it time, yes it was, would any of you given up the buyout money, of course not (and if you say you would you are a flat out liar), and it is painful for him. He got complacent and let things slip away. If Fulmer had hired a competent OC, and let him run the offense the way he wanted, he would still be the Head Coach at UT today. That is simply the truth. He was canned for hiring a boob as a OC, and then got canned because of it.

For the head honcho's of this wonderful site, can we ban any threads that start with Fulmer going forward, a lot of the people on here need the healing time apparently.

No, I didn't realize that....really?????? Losing with superior talent in your own stadium is one thing - getting stomped with equal talent is another. I took care of the hecklers by basically agreeing that our coaching staff / preparation was horrible. Not fun, but you must enjoy the punishment and disgrace....not me. I have more pride! Go Vols!

You have so much pride that you started agreeing with the hecklers?

You, my friend, are a man of principles!

You my friend seem to have the same philosophy as mediocre Phil!

He made some bad personnel decisions in the latter years but mediocre coaches don't win multiple championships. Mediocre people let emotion obfuscate the truth...

This is gonna be fun.

Ok b....What is my philosophy?

Well, if being heckled by Fla fans after a butt stomping in Neyland doesn't bother you......you're a better man than I. I'm not satisfied with mediocre - we have too much history and too many resources. I hope Dooley can get us back on top.

Well, sure. By mediocre I mean winning 1 NC & 2 SEC titles in 17 years.....a great coach would've had more. Especially given the talented NFL rich rosters we've produced.

You did a great job of dodging the question. Smart move.

You ended with a peace-offering sentence that indicated you were no longer interested in arguing. Another smart move.

If I was getting my a$$ kicked in Bar Knox, I would rather have Gandhi as my back-up than you.

GO VOLS!!!.....b......:)

I assume you are younger than me at 33. If not enjoy watching the next 3 years unfold. They would have undoubtedly been better under a proven coach. I'm all for Dooley but to say Fulmer would not be better than the mess we have now is foolish.

I'm a little older. I would agree that having a proven coach would be better, but not Fulmer. I think Dooley has enough experience to take the HC job and will do well. Time will tell, but I like the youth and the assist. coaches he has assembled. Fulmer had a good run, but it could've been better.

I'm afraid if I raise the bar any higher, you won't be able to see over it.

Speaking of refunds...will you give me back my time that I've wasted talking to you?

Good one....short jokes are classic and at least 3rd grade! No, but you can buy me a beer when your buddy Phil finally finds a job.

I think you are assuming that Fulmer has more support than he does. Fulmer probably thinks that as well.

If not for Haslem, Fulmer would still be coach. If not for Haslem, Fulmer would be taking on the duties of AD. That is how much support he has from people more interested in helping their own business interests rather than seeing the UTAD prosper.
