Maybe I missed it but where did CPF say that (in the article you used)? I don't even see him quoted.

Fact or not?

IF Tennessee wins out and Florida loses to UGA or South Carolina, the Vols would play in Atlanta?

Yeah, that's a fact, so why is saying that it's a posibility, "drinking Kool-Aid?" Would you have not posted anything if he said that the season is lost and he thinks that we might lose 2-3 of the last few games like I am sure you believe we will?

No, you would have posted a thread about how you can't believe he has given up, and if he can't even have faith in his players and his coaches, that it's time for him to be fired.

So the point is, it doesn't matter what he says or does, people like you are going to blast him for it.

Great.

We have been dominated by the three teams we have played that were good. We still have to play USCe, Ark (we can't stop the run), Uk (we can't stop the run or pass) and a Vandy team that beat USC and almost beat UGA.

What on earth leads you to think we have even a remote shot to win out?

He told the team "the season is not over" according to Mayo. This is what he is suppose to say. He does not want the players giving up on the season, that is a good thing.

JZ he only pointed out a fact.

i think what should bother us more than anything is that we no longer control our own destiny, FL has to lose again, and we have to win out.

i don't think either is likely, but yes, both could happen.

ANOTHER season of "what could be" and "hope for X team to lose"...and that's what should bother us.

Actually, Yes. Thanks for asking.

If the Vols go to Atlanta the first week of December, I WILL be there. If they don't, I'll have the weekend off anyway and spend it with my family, not worrying one minute about the fact we aren't there.

Correct. Don't let them give up on the season. Let them continue what they have been doing - giving up one game at a time during the 3rd or 4th quarter.

Short Answer. Faith. Something every true fan SHOULD have in their team. I go into every game thinking Tennessee can win the game. I also go into every game with realistic opinions as to their chances. IF Tennessee plays like they did Saturday, they probably won't win out. But guess what, I will still be at every game, thinking they will win when the ball is kicked off.

Longer Answer- Tennessee has lost to three ranked teams on the road. Tennessee is undefeated at Neyland Stadium this season. They play South Carolina, Arkansas, Lafeyette, and Vanderbilt at home. By the time that they play Kentucky, the Cats will be a shell of their current selves. They play Miss St. Vandy and Georgia all before we go there. If Tennessee plays like they CAN play, they can win in Lexington.

After the Florida loss, did you think Florida would lose two games? Did you think that if they played the way they did against Tennessee that they would lose ANY games? They've lost two. One of which at home. Their games against Georgia and South Carolina are at a neutral site and at Columbia. If you think it's impossible for them to drop one of those games, you are wrong.

Is there a lot of work still to be done? Yes. Is it possbile though for Tennessee to end up in Atlanta? Yes.

well it is a long shot but it is a possibilty.

The Miami Dolphins could still possibly win their division and go on to win the Super Bowl this year. The odds of that happening are about the same as the odds of UT winning out this year. Quit dealing with fantasy and embrace reality. UT sucks, and we're not going to improve until Fulmer and company hit the bricks.

Alabama is ranked now. Did I say they were ranked at Gametime?

No I did not. Your opinion of me and my opinions means nothing.

That just makes you foolish.

What makes someone look foolish is when they only come to the board to delight in a UT loss. That and claiming that UT has zero shot and then they win (like bball season). Or having "vol" in their screen name when they cheer for UNC. Not that I know anyone like that but they would be foolish if I did

Faith in what? Our defense is terrible as is our special teams. I will go to the rest of the home games excluding ULL and HOPE we can win. I have no faith because I look at the past 8/9 seasons as evidence. Just look at the special teams as one example. This coaching staff can't improve and in fact appears to have gotten worse in that area.

Alabama was not ranked when we played them and were playing without 5 starters, two from the O-line.

And if Tenn. plays like they HAVE we will have a new coach in 2 months.

But guess what, I will still be at every game, thinking they will win when the ball is kicked off. Who consistently goes to the games thinking we will lose? You honestly think many people are paying quite a bit of money, and going to the games "thinking, wow, this is neat, I bet we lose the crap outta this game."Longer Answer- Tennessee has lost to three ranked teams on the road. :eek:lol:Correct. Alabama is ranked as a result of torching UT on Saturday. That will be corrected in the near future. UT has a way of making ALL of its opponents look FAR BETTER than they really are. Alabama will not finish the season as a ranked team. They will lose to both LSU and Auburn and could potentially lose to Mississippi State as well.

I have plenty of faith in the Vols. I have faith that the Vols AD will step up to the plate at the end of this season, actually do his job, and correct the problem that UT's football program has had for years.

Yes you did say that UT lost to 3 ranked teams at home.

When you say this, in most (intelligent) peoples minds, it is ranked when they played not after they played. No one waits till after the game to say they lost to a ranked team.

Dont be an idiot to try and make the loses seem ok. UT got blown out in all three games.

Dont get me wrong I love the Vols but this is not their best season and i am not delusional about their loses.
