Fulmer Is Definitely Gone!

I said most. And Lloyd Carr was very well-liked at Michigan until the yearly losses to Tressel starting piling up. Larry Coker's NC was an end to Miami's era of dominance and ushered in their current mediocrity. It's no surprise that Coker was not beloved as even the most ignorant fan of the U could see that he was bad for their program. Plus those were not Coker's recruits.

Ok, you said MOST. He gave you two examples where you are wrong. Give us a few examples of those "Most".

How is my analogy ridiculous. You're supporting Fulmer for things that happened 10 years ago or longer and ignoring the most recent 10 years, which any reasonable analysis would weight the heaviest in making a judgment.

Turnaround stories after 10 years of muddling through are exceptionally rare, but are statistically speaking, likely to happen on a very limited basis for a season or two at a time. Sustained greatness just doesn't come back.

I agree with this statement. It is rare but not impossible. Fulmer is not that much different of a coach than he was 10 years ago. The talent level and OC are what is mostly different.

Yes they are. Carr and Fulmer's situations are very similar. Not disputing that. Disputing the comment about Fulmer being incompetent. I don't feel that an "incompetent" coach would ever have achieved the level that Fulmer did.

Zero championships in 10 years. Losing record against biggest rivals. BAD loses to big rivals. .678 (8-4) winning percentage in those years. What would it take to be "incompetent".

He gave me one example. Lloyd Carr was not hated at Michigan. I don't need to cite multiple examples of the coaches who have won a NC and will always be respected/loved by the fans for it but I'll give you one. Fulmer. The great majority of UT fans will always appreciate what Fulmer did.

You are mistaking mediocre with incompetent.

Some of you guys need to get over yourselves. If you don't like what someone posts, ignore it. Chances are, his 19 posts could be higher quality than 50% of what I read on here lately. Sarcasm and "smarter than you" attitudes are easily found on other boards. We don't need it here.

I think some here believe the more post they have, the better or more knowledgeable fan they are. That's just crap, the post in question may be crap as well, time will tell.

I have an idea. How about we all stop questioning the validity of someone's source and fess up to the fact that Fulmer will be gone at the end of the season. Instead, move on and talk about who the next coach will be.

I like how everyone has a "friend" in the know. Where are all these "friends" and why aren't they posting for themselves??

Well, I bought an Icee at Pilot today, so I'm on the inside.

There was a run on hair care products in Knoxville the last week and a half.

Fulmer will be fired with 4:21 left in the 3rd quarter, and Jimmy Johnson will replace him.

I had a dream that the players would demand Fulmer stay in the locker room at half time or they were not playing--then they rushed out and played the best game of their lives. Has anyone had this dream?

Nah, my dreams usually involve Jessica Alba, 2 cans of whipped cream, a unicorn, 2 midgets holding balloons, and a set of left handed golf clubs.

I have the exact dream except instead of golf clubs, there is a baseball bat.

There you got it right, but the game is different than it was ten years ago, but CPF hasn't adjusted.

I'm in awe of the 5000+ posters. Don't know where you all get the time, but you've learned to boil the crap down in a very entertaining way. I'm new, and there is definitely an art to making a good post, but I appreciate the pros here.

BTW, this is a good diversion from our football woes.

Ok, The majority of responders are questioning my source and commenting on my number of posts. It is ok. It doesn't bother me at all. I know my source is credible. And, I am very excited Fulmer is gone! :dance2:

Logically, I can tell everyone that Fulmer will be gone. Mike Hamilton knows that he is gonna lose half of the boosters and half of the fans that go to the games if Phil isn't fired.

Its obvious that Phil won't ever beat Alabama or Florida ever again. Probably not even a top 15 team.
