Fulmer Is Definitely Gone!

A have a friend in the media. Fulmer will definitely be gone after the season. It probably won't be announce until after the Vandy game.

All of you who think a bowl, seven wins, or a highly ranked recruiting class will save Fulmer are wrong. He has more than worn out his welcome. He slid in the back door to get the job in the first place!
Fulmer is Toast! :yahoo:

Just wait till the commets find out.......sad day...sad day indeed.

But I'm sure he's the reason Erik Ainge threw that pick against LSU in the SEC CG or even the turnovers against LSU in '01 championship game. He's definitely not the reason Peerless Price caught 4 balls for 199 yards against FSU though. He definitely didn't make Travis Stephens run around and through Gator defenders in 01 did he. That's a very weak argument. It's obvious that you are very excited that CPF is gone, but don't try to rob him of his accomplishments at our University.

RDU VOL#14

Nobody is trying to rob Fulmer of anything. And, it is my university too! I graduated and contributed money to the University of Tennessee too.

We all appreciate Fulmers hard work and dedication for almost thirty years. He did do it the right way. UT never received any NCAA sanctions. While he was our head coach.

I feel bad for Fulmer and the players. It is a difficult time for them. They are all hurt right now.

Fulmer got paid nicely for doing something he loved to do for almost thirty years! I would say less than 1% of the world has been as blessed as Fulmer. He was paid very well with celebrity status for almost thirty years.

Fulmer's departure was way overdue. He had proven his recruiting classes weren't being developed. He wasn't treating all players the same. And, he was being outcoached by most of the SEC coaches. It has nothing to do with his class or previous accomplishments.

One of the weakest links on our team for years has been our offensive line. If, we had a great offensive line during Peyton's four years. We would have probably won two National Championships with Peyton. Fulmer is a former offensive lineman and former offensive line coach.

No one said Fulmer didn't accomplish a lot during his 17 years as head coach. He accomplished a lot his first 7 years. But, what has he accomplished the last 10 years?

Vol Blog: Phil Fulmer's Record Since 1998 Season

Your arguments do not hold water. Given the tradition, facilities, funds, talent, etc.... Fulmer has underachieved in just about every area over the last 10 years!!! So, get your head out of your behind and get a clue!!!!!!!

If, your head coach who was a former offensive lineman and former offensive line coach. Then, he is obviously not developing talent. Or, he isn't recruiting talent on the offensive line. Regardless, it says he isn't qualified to lead a SEC football team to many accomplishments in the future!

Sorry, I left out. And, your offensive line has been one of the weakest links on the team with the exception of 2001 for the past 10 years.
