Sabotaging this thing, this is the Haslam family telling the national media this because they got pushed back. Fulmer is Anderson's guy, the Haslams are no longer king of the hill in Knoxville anymore.

I believe he may have actually think he did. Why else would UT not approve 2 coaches

Now that makes more sense. Haslam pushed Fulmer out, I don't see him being a Haslam guy.

I can see Fulmer leaking the Schiano info.

I can see Fulmer working against Currie and Haslam.

I don't consider it sabotage. I consider it a part of a larger power struggle.

Thank God... we may not get a Leach quality hire, but this is for the best in the long term.

Why would UT block 2 hires after Shiano then that's just weird? Idk I'm just saying I could see it. My judgement will come with the new coach

This is the lazy narrative of the national media, Currie and Haslam are using them as a mouth piece. Jimmy Haslam is pissed, Currie was his yes man. Remember Wednesday when Jimmy Hyams said on Outside the lines? Haslam will never allow Currie to be fired

yep. and when Hyams was on ESPN Monday telling people about the attempt to hire Gundy, Hyams was specific in saying that Currie had the blessing of Jimmy Haslam.

If at the end of all this it means the Haslams have had their legs taken out from under them then I'm ok with all of it. They have to be stopped and taken out of power one way or another.

We don't need any power players. We need all of them out - Haslam, Anderson, Fulmer - all of them.

They ALL have messed this up.

And then someone else takes their place and I can guarantee you will not like that person either.

Let me y'all in on a secret. Currie was Haslams puppet and did the bidding of Haslam. We finally had a group of Boosters wanting to oust him Ergen/Anderson/Fulmer/Manning and company. Yes they had a hand in helping but had it not been for them Schiano would be your coach guys. Also Manning played Currie/Haslam signing off on Schiano because they knew that wouldn't end up well for Currie/Haslam.He took one for the team for the greater good of the program. Whoever Currie/Haslam hired would not succeed and Haslam would make sure he didn't he wants to program to rely in his money (they strangled past coaches. Now they finally succeeded in ousting Currie and yes probably Haslam as well. Don't believe these media reports that Haslam is paying to be put out there. It's not over completely yet. Just know they want Charles Davis for AD and he us what's best for the program.

This just in. We don't have to pay Haslam's $7 gzilion buyout because with him going to jail we can fire him with cause.

Several people keep saying things about Majors. Fulmer did NOT orchestrate Majors’ downfall. Johnny did it to himself. He was arrogant with Dickey and sealed his own fate.

And probably had an open bottle of Jack in his hand while doing so. I like Majors. always have. But, generally, someone else cannot sabotage a brick wall unless there are loose bricks in critical spaces. Like Fulmer as well.

Doug Matthews knows Fulmer very well and has stated Fulmer has been completely out of the coaching search. These rumors are nonsense.

BTW, Majors was a mediocre 60% winning coach at UT. He backed into 1985 because half way through the season Florida, who had already beat UT, was hit with probation. They actually won the SEC. Then Tennessee went back down hill. Starting 0-6 that year. The next year Phil was named Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator. They won back to back (one was shared) SEC Titles. Then Majors ran his mouth about his pay and needing a raise. The money guy at the time had heard enough and made the move. Other schools where courting Phil. They gave it to him. The rest is history. Majors did it to himself.
