The only point it is good for is Fulmerites.

lol.. excellent point.. Sorry the boss (my wife) was telling me to get off because we were headed out to look at ride around and look at the Christmas lights... Sorry for the typos.. I do wonder though why do you attempt to bash everyone that says anything about Fulmer??? You ask me the same question about LK... Did you play ball for him or something?? Just wondering.. I have said many times that I thought it was time for him to go, but why bash just because someone doesn't say they hate him?? You don't have to answer I was just wondering.. BTW who is that in your pic? She looks fimiliar....

I do not bash I look at it as educating the misinformed. Fulmer was not this great coach some here believe he was. As far as my pic goes..it was taken at the Cheetah Club in the ATL years ago.

You're just trying to get us upset by posting something that is as stupid as it gets. You Foolmerites would have failed English 101 if you had ever taken it. 'Coach' and 'Fulmer' cannot be paired together and, in doing so, creates improper english.

I wish every Foolmerite would load up and leave with that low down, discipline free rogue 'coach' that brought every thug/gangster/felon wannabee to the University of Tennessee so the football program would be destroyed. We want nothing to do with his kind whatsoever. Take the sorry thing with you and depart forever. Don't forget to shut the gate at the stadium behind you to keep his convicts out.

I would rather listen to a Fulmerite Than read this silly post.

Fulmer's record is what it is. It is not his record with or without this coach or that coach.

First, I wanted Fulmer and Chavis gone when probably when you were still in diapers and can celebrate his departure with the best of them.

Second, if he is not going anywhere and it appears to be he isn't then the University will place him in some capacity related to Football and the Athletic Department.

Third, Kiffin stated in the Tennessean that he planned on wearing out Fulmer for his knowledge and the how to do it the Tennessee way. Indicates that Fulmer is going nowhere and Kiffin will use him. Kiffin's words not mine.

Fourth, sounds like something the University and Athletic Department would do as an unprecendented move when firing a coach but retaining him in some capacity. Would keep the donors happy and less complaints.

Fifth, Fulmer wants to contribute and does not care about any other jobs and this could be a move to appease several or even the masses.

Sixth, The university is treating football like a buisness product that produces revenue so why not manage it like one. This move will bode well for MH if he can pull it off. It will appear that we are running an Pre NFL combine camp based on organizational structure and coaching staff. I am sure you would be opposed to that because it is to forward thinking and makes sense.

Finally, Get your head out of your backside because it is probably going to work out this way.

:good!:

whoa there fella, way too much logic for most of these guys to absorb in one setting.you have to break it down a little more and type slowly :hi:

Fulmer's record is what it is. It is not his record with or without this coach or that coach.

82/19 - 8 yrs with Cutcliffe
66/33 - 8 yrs without Cutcliffe

Without Cutcliffe Fulmer would have been gone years ago. The overall coaching record may be associated with Fulmer but that does not mean a person cannot educate themselves to see thru the smoke and mirrors for what it is. If Fulmer was such a fantastic coach he would have been either snatched up already or at the least had some interviews. It is not rocket science to figure out Fulmer, but it does take common sense and an openmind to understand it.

I agree Fulmer should have been let go some time ago but geez dude....the man gave his life to UT. To classify all the good kids he recruited & coached as thug/gangster/felon wannabees is ludicrous. I hate to break it to you cuz, but any competitive team doesn't have Mr. Rogers starting at middle linebacker. Show some class.:clapping:

I am not a Fulmer fan nor do I have nything against hom, but this really is a good point..

I don't think its a good point at all. Yeah, fulmer has won more games than Kiffin. HE'S 60 years old!!!!

Doesn't make him a better coach...and it certainly doesn't mean that he was going to be able to move the program in the right direction. He made the ship sink. Our new captain is better.

I imagine Fulmer will hang around all he can, but I'd be surprised if they let him have anything to do with the football team after they just told him to go away.

The only thing we know for sure is that he is not the Head Football Coach. What capacity they choose to use him since he is not going anywhere is still to be known to us.

In the NFL, the HC is basically "under", or in some cases just equal to the GM in power and influence. I dont see Kiffin taking orders, or even considering taking orders, from PF in anyway.

I would hope that Kiffin would never take any orders from PF and if he does he would not be much of a coach. Really do not think that is the capacity that PF would be used for when in connection to Kiffin. Ex football coaches that hung around. Pat Dye and Vince Dooley are two off the top of my head.

Saying the right things publicly about wanting to get his advice is a grand canyon away from Phil being involved with the running of the football team. Again, do not read anything into it. I never stated running or day to day operations. I dont think that ever happens when the previous coach was fired. I don't either but like I said it would be unprecendented. This isnt like Wisconsin where Alvarez stepped down willingly to be AD and picked his successor. See above Dye and DooleyWe needed a change and got one. Agreed and felt we should have let him go in 2004.

Fulmer is likely finished as a coach, as no one wants a coach who has directed a program downward, except maybe Auburn. He does not care to coach againFulmer needs to get away from U.T. and retire down to his property on Tellico Lake. Probably ain't going to happen it will be like taking a brat out of a candy storeFulmer is now a footnote of U.T. football history, and he needs to get out of the U.T. environment. He cannot seem to figure out what he wants to do when he grows up.

He was a decent coach that was surrounded by one great coach and one above average coach which made him as the HC successful. I truly believe that the players won the NC in spite of Fulmer's coaching. I am just glad we did not make the mistake of hiring Cut as the HC because it would have been a nightmare

I don't think its a good point at all. Yeah, fulmer has won more games than Kiffin. HE'S 60 years old!!!!and nowhere to go, which makes this feasible.
