I have never seen so many ignorant people in all my life. People making fun of Fulmer because of his weight or anything else is crazy to me. I realize many people can make the argument that the game has passed him by. And I can't say that from the looks of things I can't totally dissagree. But nobody realizes that without Fulmer NON of the success over the last 18 years would have happened. This man brought this program up and the greatest heights of Tennessee Football have been accomplished by Fulmer. I know people are frustrated but I just don't understand how some can take shots at him like this. In my opinion, he is to be commended and completely respected regardless of how things unfold based on what he has done for UT. I fully support him and I wish others could really put everything in perspective. GO VOLS!!

I don't know if you can count the last 7 years successful. Maybe he brought 11 years of success?

He'd be remembered a lot more fondly if he'd accept his gold watch and call it a career. The longer he continues with mediocre season after mediocre season, the more likely he'll be remembered as a below-average coach who just got lucky a couple of times.

Most Vols fans are grateful for his run in the 90's. But the program is in shambles, under his leadership in the 2000's. The guy's got to go.

x2, couldn't have said it better myself.

The longer he hangs around and the further our program sinks... the further his legacy is tarnished. He can salvage it if gracefully steps down this year. Knocking 'bama off would be a great parting gift.

Out of respect for his title in 98, maybe UT should add few million more to his $5.5 million buyout, and buy a new Lexus for his wife and a Jeep Cherokee for Phil to drive off in.

I agree that making fun of his weight is classless. Why some people still think that Krispy Kreme jokes are still funny, I have no idea.

His job performance - well, the facts speak for themselves. If my performance in my job was faltering, I would either be asked to leave or reassigned to a position that management deemed within my capabilities.

fulmer does deserve respect for the success of the '90's especially the title in 1998, but he does NOT for 4 straight losses to florida, AGAIN.
fulmer and chavis need to realize it's time to let go!

The man is an embarrassment to this university. One does not snitch and expect to gain respect. The snitch truly deserves what is happening to him.
your an embarassment to be considered a vol fan by any means.. Thats real good..lets rag on the man for playing by the rules. call it a snitch or whatever you want. that is the craziest thing i have ever heard to say he snitched on anyone. he is a great man and plays by the rules. if i was doing things the right way and someone else wasn't i would want the truth to be known too and anyone who says different has the character of a cheater.

Fulmer has been successful....the key words are "has been." He is a good coach. I think he has lost the fire that big school coaches need. Especially in the SEC. Majors brought our program up, but also he had a rough go the last several years. Fulmer is in the same boat. It's time for him to step aside. I will always praise him for what he has done. 20 years from now we will only remember him as a winning coach. And he is. But the fire is gone. If he loves the program like he says he does, step aside.

You need to cleanse yourself from the thorough brainwashing you have endured.
