I do not believe Fulmer will be brought back as HC. But IF it happens, I am more than willing to get behind him once again. The man had 2 bad years out of how many? Like him or not, one thing nobody can argue with....He IS a Vol, and he loves this University and this program. Kiffen merely used UT as a stepping stone, and I knew he wouldn't be here long term anyway? Did anybody really think he would? Granted, I figured on maybe 3 years, and not this...But Fulmer has given us some great wins in the past, and maybe he still has something left.

But it probably ain't gonna happen anyway.

If you don't like the idea of Fulmer as coach, then I was just thinking this morning that you can't possibly want him as AD....

If Hamilton is fired and Fulmer replaces him as AD, couldn't Fulmer just name himself as coach?

..what's to stop him from naming himself coach if he becomes AD?

that's not a "challenge" question. I really don't know how that works. would the board of trustees be able to stop him from doing that? ...WOULD they stop that from happening? If not, I'm sure he'd be right back to a $2 million salary..

You're right i don't want him as AD. In fact i wish he'd stay as far away as possible. Enjoy that big fat buyout Mike handed him.

???otherwise? fulmer is lobbying all over the country for a coaching job and hasn't had so much as a glance thrown his way. you fulmerites kill me...he would be a nightmare for tn at AD. it would be like jerry jones in the cowboys. he would try to control everything until he ran it into the ground. fulmer had his run now it's time to move on.

AD involves a lot of politics. I'm sure CPF could bring in more money than MH. Now what he'd do with it I dunno.

I'm reading in a few places that Fulmer might be the next AD - after the Kiffin fiasco Hamilton is out, Fulmer in and makes the next hire.

Thoughts?

It's one of the most absurd scenarios I've ever heard of. Fire a guy and then bring him back a year later as AD. :wacko:
