ESPN smells blood in the water. They're all over us like sharks. And they are so damn smug about it.

It said the Board of Trusties had met and contacted Fulmer for AD or HC. Looks like Lame's actions may take Hammey down with him. I think the real people that matter, those that give 7 figures each year, want a coach with integrity, class, and stability, everything Lame was not. So this may have been viewed as Hammey's experiment and it just exploded. Fulmer, like him or not, IS all of those things and he definately is all Vol. I don't think coach would be a good move, but AD may be good. The problem with anyone we bring in that is not from Tn. is how long before they leave for "home" and Lame has taught us their word means absolutly nothing. Who knows what will happen, I guess time will tell.

Mike Hamilton has said no contact has been made to his knowledge

So either Hamilton is out or Fulmer remains out.

I don't think they would let Hamilton do this presser if he was on the way out IMO.

Fulmer would be a great AD. He doesn't want the HC job. If he does get it and you don't like it, better watch out--you'll be called a Kiffinite.

All the fans on our site are in favor of this move. :good!:

j/k, guys. We know you wouldn't do anything that obtuse.

Hamilton said Fulmer is not a candidate for HC. And I highly doubt he is being considered for AD.

Ya'll need to get off the man's nuts. Fulmer was a great coach for this program. Yes, he started falling off the deep end towards the end of his stay, but who knows, maybe his firing was a wake up call in the end. I personally hope he's brought back. Tradition has been something that I've been proud of in Tennessee up until this last year. It's time to start bringing it back.

UT is getting desperate, just like USC did when they chose to hire Kiffin. If anything, they should see that a rush hiring could be detrimental for years to come. Who cares if you lose a few recruits who are nothing but question marks at this point? It's ONE recruiting class! If you make a bad hire it could be FOUR or FIVE bad recruiting classes. Tenn needs to take their time with this hire. If it doesn't, the last thing they'll be thinking about, down the road, was the few recruits they lost in 2010.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm a big fan of him as AD. It rids us of Hamilton and he knows the program. I just hope he has the draw for recruiting if he returns as HC.

You people that want this are stupid . Thats all we need is a massive civil war among the trustees and fans..Hell anybody that is a Vol.

Would not be the first time he stabbed someone in the back. Why do people cling to a coach that has seen numerous positions open up and not one mentions him as a replacement? If you guys want a nice guy who is going to be loyal, then why not hire Ronald F::::#% McDonald.

Sexton was the agent for him and Tubs. Tubs was first on the list simply because he was 5 years younger.
