Fulmer and staff have to go. Time to exit gracefully.

I think the time is now. Hamilton should already be interviewing people. Fulmer should retire at the end of the season.[/QUOTE

Screw the end of the season, they shouldnt even let him go back home with the team. Need to fire his arse after the game!

Won't happen. It's easy to say that when we are getting our butts handed to us, but we'll see how the season pans out. If we win 9 (big big if), we have a lot to look forward to next year with most of the starters back and all. We win 7, fire him. We have too many good players to be on the decline.

Very well said! If we don't get rid of the clapper soon we will be back to where we were when Battle left. I'm sick of this BS. The gators scored yet another td while I'm typing this. Fulmer has got to go NOW! The Fulmerites are standing in the way of this program returning to greatness. If you are happy with what you are seeing then go become a Vandy fan.

Where have you seen anyone that is "happy" with what they are seeing? Are you blind or do you think you're on florida boards?

What you fail to understand is that you think it's all automatically going to be fixed if Fulmer is fired.

Ok smart guy....do you think we'll just run the table? Do you think they have another coach worthy of taking this job?

Who is going to replace him? Do you know? Or are you going to just say "anyone but Fulmer".....blah blah blah....

Fulmer's time is up. He's no longer a top notch coach. Everyone knows that and you aren't telling us anything we don't know.

What you also can't tell us is who our next coach is going to be. What his success will be like. Or anything else for that matter.

Yes, be quick to call people "fulmerites" yet what do you call the idiots who think that just because fulmer is gone, our problems are solved?

Idiot isn't a good enough word I don't think, is it? Because anyone could seemingly see that you have NO IDEA what to expect. So it doesn't necessarily make it so.

Therefore, you optimists about how great we'll be more than trump those who you think want fulmer around.

You'll be hard pressed to find too many people here that WANT fulmer to be our coach for an extended period of time.

Just because someone has enough common sense to know when to blame the coach and when not to blame the coach doesn't make them a homer or a "fulmerite"

I guess that Harvin run was Fulmer's fault also? The blocking by Florida? Harvin's speed? Harvin's jukes? The defenders that are arm tackling?

Fulmer how dare you!
you know little football. Harvin gets to operate in enormous space because we are the easiest team to block that I've ever seen (largely because teams can predict our defensive reactions. The blocking by Florida is suspect at best, given that they're about 3rd string now at a couple of positions.

Harvin's run wasn't Fulmer's fault, but the amount of missed tackles on that run, and throughout the game can easily be laid at his feet.

How about the special teams? That because somebody juked, danced, said hail mary or something else. I think the downward trend in our special teams has mirrorred that of the program and needs some change. Special teams is almost always about coaching and the starting field position differential between us and our opponents should give a pretty good idea of how well we're coached.

No we set on our hands. They won't fire him for two more years probably.

He won't be fired. He'll be forced out, but not fired. They're too classy for that. He's earned the respect of being able to make it until seasons end.

They need to just spin it that he's growing old and weary and tired of the grind. That he had a chance of heart and wants to spend time with his family.

Plus, for all we know, they are talking to other schools about permission to speak to other coaches.

We can't do much worse by hiring the unknown considering we aren't winning anything big lately.

Fulmer is to Tenn as Weis is to ND, both getting paid too much for doing nothing in the past few years.

Im sick of this strawman bs. Try to scare us into not replacing Fulmer because of the unknown.

What's the difference between of talking about not replacing him because of the unknown or talking about replacing him with a GUARANTEE that we'll win championships like some people think?

Which one seems more outlandish?

It's easy to say another coach would win championships with this talent, but it's not ridiculous to think we'll be even worse or just the same?

It isn't about hating fulmer or liking fulmer or rather or not you want him here or not. If it's about the state of the program then it needs to be about the program and not just hatred for a coach.

We have a lot more problems than JUST our head coach.

There isnt anyone to blame here but Fulmer, Chavis, and Cutcliff.

This is the beginning of the end for them. It HAS to be.

The Tennessee Volunteers just got their asses kicked in the swamp.

They are a pitiful excuse for a football team!

Listen here Fulmer apologist crowd - "We just couldnt run the football...blah blah blah..." is not an acceptable excuse -

The game has passed Fulmer by - power running football is the past.

Spread offense and speedy receivers is the face of the game -

Fulmer and Chavis got their fat overweight asses kicked today - period.

I am done with this team until Phil has a new job down at Baskin Robbins..

I tried to type in firephilfulmer.com. I am sick of watching the Vols get embarassed on national stage week in and week out.

It's time that we start a national search for the best coaching talent out there and hire him.

Tell me again how Tebow is a joke. Tell me again how great Arian Fumble is. Tell me again how the defense was improving. Tell me again how we're still a contender in the SEC. Tell me again how Foolmer is fixing the special teams. You got exactly what you deserve today. Stay loyal to an incompetent administration. Welcome to Shreveport. You caused it, you get it.

Fulmer needs to go, and very very soon.

I have always sort of backed CPF up until this season, and now I'm a very strong advocate of his firing, this is absolutely ridiculous. He isn't even passionate about Tennessee.

And what is his excuse for playing so bad?

I have an idea it's gonna sound something like this:
"Heck, we played hard... but dang we just couldn't get anything going for us."

We need some changes in the coaching staff by next season, starting with the head coach.
