Discussing 1998 National Championship game

Join Coach Phillip Fulmer and Coach Bobby Bowden and players from the 1998-1999 University of Tennessee and the Florida State University teams as they relive the highlights of the Fiesta Bowl National Championship game. The evening will celebrate the game's 15th anniversary with video highlights from the 1998 season and the National Championship Game as well as with commentary from the coaches, players and local celebrity guests who were part of the action. All proceeds from this exclusive evening will support the lifesaving work of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where no family pays for anything. By lending your support, you will help St. Jude in its mission of finding cures and saving children. Thanks to the generosity of friends like you, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital treats children fighting cancer and other deadly diseases with pioneering research and exceptional care.

I wish I could go., dang. Bobby Bowden is my favorite coach in any sport ever. The way that man ran his teams is how everyone of us should live our lives. After reading his book, I learned how religious of a man he was and how he would use certain bible verses in different situations with his life and football teams. He is, IMO, the best college football coach EVER.

I was at the 1998 FCA breakfast for the Fiesta Bowl BCS championship game with both FSU and the Vols present. Coach Bowden and former Congressman / Oklahoma quarterback JC Watts spoke that morning. Both were great speakers. I Always liked Bobby.

Dont care what he says about himself in his book the man was a snake. If he is so right with the lord how did he run one of the dirtiest programs of all time?

How old are you? Never mind. I just looked at your public profile and got my answer. There is much in life you have yet to learn and experience, young friend.

are you confusing Florida State with Miami ?

the worst thing i can remember about FSU is the free shoes thing which hardly puts them in the dirtiest program category.

Am I missing something ?

Academic scandal that forced him to vacate wins. Not sure of his connection to it other than involving football players.

I love Bowden. I think he's a great coach. There aren't too many programs that can match what FSU did in the 90's.

It's more than just those two. Former players from the 98 champ team will be there. They are having open discussion and replay of plays on the big screen with discussion. All to benefit St. Jude's.

He reached out and really helped Marshall after that devastating plane crash. And I love thick Southern accents. I don't really have one myself because I have lived in so many places/countries. I do get a small one when I go home to Middle-Tennessee. Yeah, it's still home after 30 years on the road.

I know many frown upon Hyams, but he and Wilkerson are KILLING IT with the interviews. I tuned in late as I was listening to Swain. But I've caught interviews with Big Al Wilson, Jeff Hall, and they are currently interviewing Coach Cut. All telling individual stories from the 98' season.
