I always like to look through these and see if anyone played that I missed or wasn't expecting. This list does not include the starters.

Two surprises for me:

John Propst, I thought he would be redshirted.

Matt Milton (did not play), I thought he would be in the rotation, especially after last night where we kinda struggled in the red zone.

Yea whats the deal with Milton? DaRick was the only one out of the freshman to catch a ball.

Jeffrey seemed to get a good bit of time at DT.

Bowens isn't on that list and I'm almost certain he played.

Freak, I watched the game on ESPN3 &, in addition to your list, I had noted 94 - Minor Bowens in the game & I think 38 - C J Fleming.

And I thought I saw Lehning wearing 90, but maybe it was Fowlkes?

Hunter had seperation a few times, but Simms it seemed had his mind made up before the snap to where he was going to throw, and never looked to his side of the field.

Anybody notice where #11 was on field goal defense? I remember someone on here saying they should put him there...

Worrisome that Simms seemed to lock in early and did not run through progressions. At least I did not see evidence of him checking different routes.

Not sure....anyone see this differently?

Probably depended alot on pre-snap reads. That is coachable.

I am concerned that he stared down receivers sometimes but usually they were wide open... so he made the correct pre-snap read.

Yeah I noticed ...but the coaches could have him in single read plays , where you have a primary and a hot read . I depends on the level of trust a coach puts in a QB as to how they set up the plays and reads.

There is no way to tell ...it is not like CDD is going to tell us. If I had to guess , I would say that this was the case. There was no pressure but the ball was out quick with no time to 'read' the field ...given Dooleys controlling style and the lack of QB experience on the field ...I would not guess that Simms was given the same freedom that you see veteran QBs use. He only checked out a few times ...if he had the authority to check out , there were alot more situations he should have checked out of.

Right. That is also something an avg fan doesn't notice that you do NOT want to give to your next opponent on film if you can avoid it. UT dominated without checking out of run plays against 8 man fronts or PA against blitzes. Hopefully, those checks will be in the arsenal next week.

No Rod Wilks?

It's laughable that you'd think the Vols would play Wilks against UTM.

Please. We're not trying to win an award for cruelty.

I don't know if we'll see Rod unless some team really starts getting the best of us and our coaches lose their human dignity.

It would be suicide for our opponents and as much as we like the Vols, it's still just a game.

Please don't talk about Armageddon so lightly.

We didn't throw all too much as the game went on, I think that is one reason we didn't see more from Hunter, Milton, etc.

I had a feeling Dooley would ease up greatly there once up by as much as we were given that he has been on the other side of things with a outmanned team, showed good respect there and didn't try racking up stats except for when they couldn't stop our running game.

That was the very first thing I noticed after his third throw or so. He immediately stared down the receiver, waited, then threw it to him. It works against UTM, but little else.

The report I posted is the official one, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is accurate.

I says Brewer played, but I didn't see him.

I thought he would see some good PT, but not sure what went on there.
