Fuad still cheezed at Dooley

After the exodus of Dooley, I remember Fuad Reveiz spit quite a bit of venom towards Dooley, much more so than I would say a radio personality probably should. It appeared quite personal.

After the game on Saturday, it was brought up again. He almost seethed when he recounted hearing Derek Dooley tell Palardy, "don't ***** it up" as he was going out on the field to take a kick, and how CBJ's approach lends itself to a much more consistent player.

Anyone know why he's still all bent out of shape given that Dooley has moved on? It just sort of struck me as add that we had just won a great game, and he was still railing on the old coach.

his daughter used to babysit for the Dooleys too, so maybe some other personal issues going on

I've got nothing to base this on but both his sons played under Dooley so I'm sure he got some pretty good insight to Dooley's arrogance and incompetence as a coach and a leader. JMO.

That's what I thought, too. Evidently he's griped the wrong way at one of his boys, and it's left a mark. Regardless, glad those days are far behind us.

he saw personally what that troll tried to do and for 3 years accomplished at trying to destroy the UT program...until he was asked to leave the premises or have his car towed away for not calling ahead 1st...

I appreciate everything Fuad and his family have done for UT, but his weekly diatribe on Dooley has grown tiresome. I want to forget about Dooley and Fuad talks more about him than he does Coach Jones. Also, continually calling him "Coach Doofus" makes Fuad come off a little childish. Believe me, I could not be happier that Dooley is gone but it is time to move on.

I agree there, too, Murphy. As a radio personality, while I appreciate candid opinion, he's starting to sound a bit like a scorned woman. Fuad won...Dooley is gone....let it go.

Fuad needs to get over it. We get it. Dooley was a bad guy. Thankfully, our luck has changed and we got a coach.

Well, when you're on a radio show and people keep asking you about Dooley that's what happens. If anyone deserves to have anger toward Dooley, it's Fuad.

You people are cheesed at Fuad because he "won't let it go..." Well, he didn't bring it up yesterday. It was PALARDY who brought up the fact that Butch--on Friday night--asked him if he had the game winning kick tomorrow. In an obvious reference to Dooley, Palardy then said he'd never had a relationship with a coach like that, etc.

So, when someone else brought it up, Fuad commented on it. Yes, Fuad can't stand Drools, but as a radio personality he was asked to comment on this, and he did. He didn't just grab this topic out of the air simply to continue the conversation about Drools like some of you are saying.

I was listening. I'm not "cheesed" at anyone. My question is, why are people still calling in with questions about someone who isn't here any longer (thankfully)? We, at some point, have to stop being victims.

I think it's gonna take a while to get over Dooley. He did hurt our program. It wasn't his fault though...he was just all Hamilton could find after Kiffin screwed us.

He was a below average coach stuck in an unwinnable situation. Yeah, let's move on, but I understand Reviez still being angry. After this season, it will be REALLY OLD though and I would hope not to hear it.

I think it's only natural that the first season after a coach leaves there is still a lot of talk about him. So expect it for the rest of this season, IMO.

Dooley is LONG gone, and we have a great coach here NOW...Let's just STOP all the Dooley talk. It's NOT productive.

The program is headed (obviously) in the right direction, the fans are back on board, the Big Orange is rapidly on it's way back.

It's a lot like harping about your ex while on your honeymoon with your NEW spouse...
