He got all choked up and talked about how special it was. Just another great way to get former players and media on your side

Was really awesome to see them all run through the T. I can definately see how much that probably meant to some of them.

He also went off on spurrier calling him a vol wannabe among other things it was a full min and half rant hillarious stuff. But yes it was cool hearing how emotional he got over running through the T and what that ment to all the vfl's yesterday

What a stroke of genius (or common sense) on the part of somebody (I assume CBJ) to welcome back the former players and coaches. Letting them know, and potential recruits know, that you are or will be part of a family for life.

I cried when we finally won.

Fuad and his family are great, and TN is lucky that we had/have them in the program.

He talked about how cruel Dooley treated his players. If I knew everything I know now, there is no way I would have supported that coach as long as I did.

I remember getting into an argument about Dooley with someone on here shortly after he was fired. I told that he was a jerk to everyone around him at UT, etc. The guy said I was lying. Sadly the guy had a lot of people fooled

He didn't say. He just said my son. Not sure if it was Shane or Nick

Someone on my TL RT'd Shane. He basically said that he was grateful to be able to run through with Fuad and highly doubted that Doofus would ever allow it to happen if he were still here

Would have had to be Shane. Nick is coaching at Carson-Newman and they had a game on Saturday afternoon.

Majors did run through the T also. He was sort of in the back, and running really slow, but he did..lol. I also noticed that Al Wilson was there, and I think he ran through the T, but did not see him at the Vol Walk. I have a question that maybe someone can answer, but didn't want to start a new thread. During the Vol Walk I saw an older African American gentleman, and couldn't think of the name of the first Afircan American to play for the Vols, but was wondering if that could be him. I want to say Jackie Walker, but I may be mistaken.

I saw Jamal Lewis after the game at gate 21 but not during
The Vol Walk... Never saw Al Wilson or Fuad but dont doubt
Either ran thru the T... And when Coach Majors came down thru
The Vol walk, all I could think of was Johnny needs a new jersey...
I didnt realize it was an actual 1951 game tear away jersey...

You can thank Antone Davis for pulling it off. He was the one who organized the whole thing. I was excited at Friday's report of 150+ plus but was overwhelmed at the game watching 200+ VFLs run out on the field. Most of them were jacked up, cheering and jumping around. Several had iphones or videoing the thing. It was even cool seeing some of the old guard hobble out there slowly; one dude even had a cane and could barely walk. It just reminded me what giving your all for TN meant. Thankful for all the guys that showed up and more importantly, for the win.
