Frustration, Knee jerk reactions, and fair weather fans

I hate knee jerk reactions! I hate fair weather fans! I really hate this growing negativity in our fan base! Am I tired of losing? Yes. Am I tired of Crompton? Yes. Am I tired of dropped passes? Yes. Am I getting frustrated? Yes. Was I hoping that CLK could turn this around in one season? Yes. But folks Rome was not built in a day.

CLK said this was going to take some time to be patent. I have faith in this staff that better days are coming in the future. It would be nice for it to be sooner than later but you and I have no control over that, so get over it.

I am a true die hard, orange blood running fan! I am here for the long haul! Go VOLS!

I am with you... I would rather be a Tennessee Vol and walk out of Neyland last night loosing that game than to walk out of Neyland a winner and be an Auburn fan ..... We may not have won last night but we are heading in the right direction...our vols NEVER quit and that made me proud..."IT'S GREAT TO BE A TN VOL" :salute:

Well, we have some fickle fans like most other fan bases. Its also a byproduct of having some close but no cigar seasons the last 10 years. The fact is the 90's spoiled all of us, only problem is it's 2009. It's a restless fan base that has been forced to watch a defense hold up the team for two straight years. You're going to get some backlash no matter who the coach or the circumstances. The times we live in and it's a what have you done for me now society.

Nick Saban was 7-6 in his first year at bama. Its not going to be pretty this year and that is a shame since this defense is solid, but we have no choice but to trust this staff's plan for the next 3 years.

It is the times almost everything is available at the click of a button or a cell phone call away. We live in a society that is fast paced, and wants instant results. Sorry that don't work in football. Patience is a word that many on VN need to learn and practice. I am still a VOL and will be one til i die. But this is still America where we all have the right to free speech. But always remember.... "Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt".

Same here. I also think a lot of the whiners are the people that are still upset with CPF being let go. They want to say I told you so any chance they get.
