No, I saw it... and I don't see anything special about his abilities. He looks to me like a steady but unspectacular SEC quarterback (like a Tyler Bray, Greg McElroy or Aaron Murray). If you disagree, that's fine but get lost with the a-hole comment and if you are a Dawg fan take it to one of your forums if you want people to agree with you about how great all of your players are.
If I had Georgia's running attack, I wouldn't do it any differently but Fromm really isn't asked to do much in most of their games. They could have kept Eason and been just as good - or bettter. If that’s the case, that’s fine.
But, that argument is more that Fromm is overrated, not that JG is good.
So are you saying that if you could trade JG for Fromm you’d pass? I’d do it in a heartbeat.Jake Fromm- 16/22 185 zero TDs and zero INTs
Jarret Guarantano- 13/21 143 2 TDs and zero INTs
These stats even though Fromm has the much, much better team around him. Haters must hate stats.
Exactly. If JG had the time to sit behind a line like Georgias or to throw to weapons like theirs, things would be alot different.[/QUote Of 21 PA how many times was JG sacked? I can only think of 2 & one of those was because he held the ball too long. Think the ol gave him time. JG couldn't get it done with the best ol in college football.
When we open it up we look like a decent offense. We have to stop waiting until we are down 3 or 4 scores to do it though. JG has been fine. He makes some of the typical young QB mistakes like staring down his primary target at times and sometimes holding the ball a touch too long. The main concern I have is he struggles to put touch on the ball when it comes to some of the shorter passes. That’s tough to teach sometimes and not a huge deal by itself. Some nobody names Michael Vick had that trouble too. I believe JG will grow out of the other mistakes and he’s had a solid year overall. He is significantly improved over last year.Jake Fromm- 16/22 185 zero TDs and zero INTs
Jarret Guarantano- 13/21 143 2 TDs and zero INTs

JG had better stats because Fromm didnt have to pass much. If UGA wanted, Fromm could have doubled his stats against us. No need to throw when you can run and score.
JG doesn't go through his progressions beyond his 2nd guy (and making it to his 2nd read is rare.) Because he doesn't have the time.
He's not mobile like at all. He also has a hurt knee.
Does not seem to ever call any audibles or use a hard count to draw the defense offsides. He isn't a great qb. Arguable. Compared to who? He's doing okay given the circumstances but he won't be great. Kind of hard to be great when you're surrounded by mediocre OL. That's just what I see though. I agree his play isn't our biggest issue.
