Fromm is special right? Well so is JG and stats agree

The play calling isn’t helping jg out at all. We always run on first down for no gain and 75% of the time time on second down. With an average of two yards per carry we’re always leaving jg in obvious passing situations on 3rd and long. All the defense has to do is sell out on the run first and second down and then blitz when they pass the ball on third.

I really don't see anything that great about Fromm. He hands the ball off a lot and makes a lot of safe throws. I was more worried when Fields was in the game.

We can frame stats however we want. Posting those numbers doesnt make either on of those special. Jg has his issues and so does fromm. I dont watch enough uga football to judge fromm but tonight he didnt throw to alot of receivers that were wide open.

Fromms comp % is 72 jg is 63
Fromm has only thrown over 300 once, jg non
Both only have a few games over 200. Jg has 2 double digit games and 1 (-3) game.
Fromm has had awesome running backs both years.

Neither of them look too special to me.

Georgia....now you tell me how many qb's that he's better than in the SEC. You need to take off the orange tinted glasses BOT.

Ok so you acknowledge that football is a team sport. Good. Now tell me how many TEAMS are we better than in the SEC.

Winning and “winners” isn’t always about stats. JF vs JG is a no brainer, he’s just not as good mqn. One is a leader and prepared and one is not. Also, JF is a true sophomore, 1 year younger.

Sorry but JG outplayed him. Fromm had the much better team. Those two facts are undeniable. Now as far as overall career, yes Fromm is better. But we also need to examine and take into account the teams around both QBs.

i am saying if your implying the losing to JG you know jack s*** about football
You quoted my post, please point out where I implied it was his fault that we're losing. I said we're not gonna win much with him. Obviously reading comprehension isn't your best quality. He's most likely leaving Tennessee with a losing record as starting qb is what I'm saying, his "stats" ain't changing that.

pretty funny we are on page 3 of a thread that is making the argument that 2 qbs that rarely pass for over 200 yards are "special"

We're all edgy, heck, it's been a horrible decade for us. I have absolutely nothing against JG, or any poster in here, agreeing or not. I hope to God he goes to auburn, and puts up crazy numbers. I know he's behind a horrible line, I've just not seen him have that moment yet. Lsu has a qb that changes everything, Penn State's qb is what kept them in their game. When fields came in today, it threw our defense off. I just haven't seen that in JG up to date. I should've kept my opinion to myself, cause I know we're all emotional. I'm in no way pulling against him, but he needs improvement.

Its a message board, who cares if people like your opinion of not?
There is just simply no prespective here, everyone assumes the worst of your opinion shows any slight variance from what they believe. Its not just vn, its a symptom of our culture and communication over the internet, mainly brought to you by politics and it has noe embedded itself in our society. Think about it, we have people that claim pruitt to be a GREAT coach 4 games into his tenure that hasnt wemt well. We have people that say players that put mediocre stats are special, when they really are not special at all. We have people that pose arguments that we will win 7-9 games after.ee have one good drive. We have folks whose only defense to an opinion they dont like is that the person saying it is a bama ot Florida fan pr that the person is miserable. Its insane.

Dont ever apologize for sharing your opinion. This is a message board, as much as everyone gets upset about negatively / any opinion not there own, thats what this place is for. It would be boring as crap if everyone on here just agreed all the time. Alot of the time, thats why I'll throw a little overly negative stuff in, just to spurn discussion. Some like it, some dont, who cares. We are all vols fans and at least have one thing in common.

We lost at the line of scrimmage. JG isn’t getting much help. I still believe he is a good qb. But I realize that until we win he won’t be considered by many here as a good qb despite his stats.

Jake Fromm- 16/22 185 zero TDs and zero INTs

Jarret Guarantano- 13/21 143 2 TDs and zero INTs

These stats even though Fromm has the much, much better team around him. Haters must hate stats.

I don't actually have any problem with Guarantano; kid's been put out on a firing line all year and hasn't backed down from the hits. He hasn't had nearly enough of a chance to show off what he could be capable of. But that said, I still think this image is appropriate so ...

JG and Fromm palted aginst different defenses and with different guys around them so you can’t use the stats to compare them.

I do like JG and think he will prove, in the long run, to be one of our better QBs. He still doesn’t have a decent team around him. There is nothing in our O he can count on. No consistency what so ever. I do think our O is improving but very slowly.

Our pass protection has to get better. GA ran a simple twist on both sides today. Our line did not pick it up on either side. Both of GAs ends got a free shot at him. Picking up a twist is not rocket science and you don’t have to extra quick to pick it up.

I think JG can be a decent runner but I think they held him back today for injuries.

When Cryst plays the games are usually over, and he is playing aginst the other teams second team.

Err, Helton does not know how to coach leadership.

JG did finish one play fake, but generally he stares down the runner telling the defense who to tackle. Maybe he should block. Or help push the pile. Does not seem to understand what the goal is.

Helton does not coach leadership very well.
