From Wilbon's column today about Saban

Right. Keep the faith young Fulmerite. You won't have to carry water for Haystacks much longer.

So you think Fulmer will go the same way as your beloved Coker? Larry that is.

I laugh at your assertions that all is doom and gloom at UT. Go back to supporting the thugs at Miami. UT will be fine.

you know hat, as much as you dislike Fulmer and seem to love coaches not at UT, you do have to admit that Fulmer is a good recruiter and has done something no other coach in the SEC has done. Win a National title while going undefeated. I have some issues with Fulmer but recruiting is def not one and even you should have the ability to admit that. How some of that talent turned out could be a thread for another discussion.

So because a wealthy wife liked Saban over CPF because he was polished and new what kind of curtains she had makes Saban a better recruiter? Not to mention the fact that living in Memphis and being OleMiss alum makes them dislike anything UT - including CPF.

All that book did was make the Tuohys look bad for prostituting a poor kid they adopted. It was definately not an indictment on CPFs recruiting ability.
Let's see. The Tuohys were rich beyond belief before they ever met Michael Oher, didn't get anything from his recruitment, took a kid off the streets, got him into school, which resulted in him getting into college and having a chance in life. Man, I hope more people start "prostituting" poor kids like that.

You're the one acting like our NC schedule should actually scare somebody. I agree that they're better than the Louisiana-hyphen schools that everybody else schedules, but they are still there as cupcake games, and I've never gotten into the whole "our cupcakes are better than yours are" argument.

You have me confused. I never mentioned anything about our NC - never. I was just pointing out that nonconf schedules can impact your conference W-L record.

You have no argument. You come here and make some asinine assertion about weakening the nonconference schedule, which nobody has called for. Then, you essentially assert that nobody gets injured against patsies. I was simply exposing the farcical nature of your point.

I think you're drinking this morning. I'll just quit arguing with the brick wall.

I'm sorry, it was post #41. Now own up to starting all the stupidity about nonconference schedules.

There was confusion about what NC meant. In my book NC is National Championship.

But as for considering the impact of a nonconference schedule to the season in whole - there is nothing stupid about it. I'll say it again - I like that our nonconf schedule is tough, but it comes with a price. We usually have the toughest strength of schedule in the SEC. If you don't think that matters, then we'll just disagree.
