Cool story bro....."So coach, the only way you get to keep your job is beating the number 1 team in the country who is arguably better than they were last year" with 2.5 recruiting classes of talent and the half class isn't really yours. I think that is a stretch. If that is the truth and they fire CDD, how long do you think it will take for that conversation to get out and who do you think would ever step foot on this campus that is worth a crap?

Problem Solved.

I just spoke to Haslam at Jason's Deli and he said his intentions all along were to hire Dooley to coach the Browns. I asked Haslam who the new coach at Tennessee would be and between bites of his Ham & Swiss he said, "Rick Clausen".

I always love it when a thread is started, then the OP is never heard from again. If you really believe what you post is true, then you should at least be around to respond to the criticism or questions from other posters.

Why didn't he pay Fulmer's buyout then? If he has 1 billion dollars to buy the browns & supposedly will pay Dooley's buyout & fork out big bucks for a "better" coach why didn't he do it to begin with?

Wouldn't the call have to come from BILL Haslam since CDD is a state employee? Didn't realize that Jimmy was the gov.
