I thought I was the only one, but I guess not.....
Yes folks, I like Georgia. I like them a lot, and behind much improved play from their future NFLer Matt Stafford, I think Georgia will win the SEC and be in the conversation about playing for the BCS Championship. Stafford will be much improved and the 'Dogs are faster and more talented than you think on defense. Defensively they are perhaps the most talented team in the SEC. They are fast and very well coached and in the SEC with a physical fast defense and quarterback that doesn't turn the ball normally means success and lots of it.
The Georgia schedule is favorable with Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Auburn and Kentucky all at home in Athens and Florida in Jacksonville. October 6th in Knoxville verses Tennessee will be a war. The 'Vols will also be vastly improved this season and they will be playing much more physical. Former Tennessee players have pulled aside some of the current team members and had a heart to heart talk with them about being soft and not playing the physical brand of football UT fans are used to watching. The bottom line is Tennessee has great players and return perhaps the second-best quarterback in the SEC in Erik Ainge. If the 'Vols develop a ground game with LaMarcus Coker, look out. If not, it could be Phil Fullmers last go around in Knoxville. To say hes on the hot seat is an understatement. Its no secret they feel slighted on Rocky Top and this applies to players, coaches and fans. Local, regional and national media are overlooking this program and they are doing so because they have played soft football the past couple of seasons. Word has it, UT is taking the "us against them" attitude. We will see if it pays off. We will find out quick as the 'Vols travel to Gainesville on September 15th to face the reigning BCS Champions.
