>>>I'd call the edge to Tennessee, even missing a starter.
>>>The very clear advantage for Tennessee is both sides of the passing game.
Imo, there won't be much of a passing game. We're #2 in the nation in time of possession. They'll have rougly 6 & 1/2 minutes per quarter to do any scoring.
Should be no problem running, they give up 164 yards per game, even more to better teams (227 to LSU).
Besides, games aren't decided by talent alone. UT historically doesn't play up to their capabilities in bowl games. I think they're 2-5 in their last 7 bowls. They can't be depended on, even when they're favored. They may have what I'd call IDD (intensity deficit disorder).
Also, they're probably demoralized losing their Big game to LSU. I doubt they'll be Up for this consolation bowl.
UW 24
UT 17
First of all im looking forward to a great matchup on Jan 1. Im a student at MTSU, which obviously makes this game a special one for me being a Badger fan in TN. Im a Badger fan 1st and a Vol fan a far second. After watching both teams this year, I could see it going either way.must run in the big ten
look at OSU,
Younstown
Akron
Kent St
and their playing for the national championship
I did not think of USC. They are a strong canidate also, but loosing to Stanford should give OSU the nod. USC had a solid schedule, but OSU's only defeat (Illinois) was a better loss (if there is such a thing).I give USC the nod over OSU
I can't get past OSU's early schedule,
It would be like Tennessee playing
Carson Newman
ETSU
And MTSU
bad ger
any results / stats you've generated to this point need to be disregarded because you have played the weakest schedule imaginable.
