Can't wait to see where Tennessee's seat allotments are for us season ticket holders..cut off date is Dec. 5..

I have it from a reliable source that UT Tix for ST holders will be lowers and club seats. No upper deck.
And of the lowers, about 1/2 will be sideline and corners, the other 1/2 endzone. All club seats will be sideline and corners as LP field has no endzone Club sections. So if you are or know at UT season tix holder, you should have them order tix for you as you will only have to buy them IF we go to the MCB and from my sources the tix this year are alot better than what they usually get from bowls........

this. i had seats for a titans game in the upperdeck at LP a few years ago and they were probably the worst seats i had ever had at a sporting event.
If given a choice between those seats or TV, i'd watch on TV. I hate those seats, it's like watching ants play football.

By waiting til the last minute I got into the 1990 UT Auburn game at Aub. for $10.00. If I can pull that off, you don't have to worry about getting into some nothing of a bowl game in Nashville.

Comparison from 20 years ago?

The cheapest time to buy is while you walk to the stadium. The most expensive time to buy is now.

If the Vols play in the MCB, it'll be 30 degrees on a Thursday night between two .500 teams in Nashville.

Tickets will be no problem.

I agree

We got 6 tickets (only used 5) to the '98 ('99) National Championship Game and could have bought as many grouped together as we wanted much cheaper at the game. 3 in front, 3 behind, 6 together, 4 in front, 2 behind....any combination. We were surprised....although I didn't think FSU would have so few fans show up.

Know a lot of people that did this at the NC game.

I can confirm, I've never been to a bowl game where tickets were not available on game day cheaper and better seats than UT had.

BTW, I always buy my allotment via UT because that helps in the future with where Tennessee might get selected to go bowling. Bowls do consider how well fans buy the ticket allotments given to schools.

I bought 4 tickets from SnubHub at the end of 3rd quater of the Kentucky game. I paid 109 dollars per seat for a 60 dollar face value ticket, but if Tennessee doesn't go...I'm pretty sure they will sell. Here is the view from my seat at LP field behind the SEC bench.

That's what I call believing in your team...I was still on the edge of my seat at that point!

Did the same thing after driving down from Vegas. Needless to say we left happy and with a lot more cash in our pockets than we expected.

Sports Illustrated ran an article bashing the BCS last month. In said article, SI indicated that last year the Music City Bowl was selling tickets on StubHub for 19 cents.

Do you credit Mike Hamilton for your loyalty and generosity to UT?

I'm just asking since he seems to be taking credit. :hi:

well considering the music city bowl is almost sold out wouldn't it be smart for them to put UT somewhere else so the fans have to buy more tickets?

I was so close to ordering tickets...but this is the reason why I'm waiting for the official announcement. I don't want to be stuck with tickets for a Bowl Tennessee isn't going to.

Same here, I'm putting myself through college-definitely don't have the money to buy a ticket for something we might not even go to. I bet we go to the Gator bowl, with all these rumors spreading around. Where there's smoke there's fire

The only time I have ever paid face is when I bought tickets through UT as a VASF member. I have been to plenty of bowls and buy tickets below face at the game, no problem, ever.

There are thousands of lower level corporate seats going for very very cheap.
I've done the same.

Per NCAA rules which have been posted repeatedly that can't happen. All teams with a 7-5 or better record with conference ties have to be placed before any 6-6 teams can be selected. The only way we are not in the Music City Bowl is if only one SEC team is in the BCS, in which case we would be in the Liberty.

So if S. Carolina wins, us who bought Music City Bowl Tickets, will be let down?

Not really.

USCjr. would go to the Sugar. Auburn would go to another BCS game.

Arky may slip into one if AU wins.

So it could work both ways.

MyBlood that is technically true BUT in all due respect if we've learned anything about the Outback Bowl it's that bowls will bend the rules 2 get their team. Just like last year. If the Outback takes Florida, then I promise we will be in the Gator vs Michigan. It's a done deal. BUT that is only if the Outback takes Florida. If not it's MCB. So to recap IF Outback goes Florida then Chikfila will go SC, Gator will go Vols and the real mystery will be how far does Mississippi State fall. They may get treated like us in years past.

In that scenario the Gator would have to take a 6-6 team over a top 25 8-4 team. That is against both NCAA and SEC rules. There is no way that will be allowed.
