It is very understandable why Wilcox likes to play conservative. It is scary to see how many mistakes our lbs make. Jac was the main one who screwed up that long td but our second level all collapsed to the middle. Most of it is freshman mistakes, but we have got to get better in a hurry. Both Austin and vereen have looked average at best. One player on d that has stuck out is teague. He is fundamentally solid and has looked like our best DB.

Chaney has done a wonderful job getting players involved at wr. Poole has good numbers but my goodness he doesn't know how to finish a big run. His footwork has been awful.

Finally, DEVRIN YOUNG! he dropped a pass that he was thinking checkerboard before he caught. But all of you who doubted him are going to be eating crow.

Jacques gets schooled by the QB option out of shotgun. It's really hit or miss but he usually bites hard on the fake.. he did it in high school too and last year.

Linebackers - we knew about that.

WR's - no surprise.

Devrin Young - Have to say I'm surprised, he looks like a big playmaker. Excited to see what he can do in the years to come. :loco:

I've been saying all week that i didn't think UT could score 40+ on Buffalo without Hunter. I am happy to report that even though the Vols haven't scored 40 yet, it's a forgone conclusion that they will...so....I pre-emptively feasting on crow right now and loving it. Offense looks to have enough weapons to be competitive in SEC. Good job Vols so far in making me look like this  for doubting you.

As great as JHunter is, he still had a pretty amazing QB getting the ball to him.
