From National Champs to worst team in the SEC in 20 years

No, we got here because a coach attained the idea of entitlement.

That’s an idiotic take. We are here because we hired head coaches who aren’t SEC head coaches after firing a hall of fame coach. And, your solution is to keep another head coach who isn’t up to the task? The only solution to this perpetual cycle of suck is to bring in a competent head coach. I don’t mean Urban Meyer or the like. It really isn’t that difficult. UT has made it look impossible

To all those calling for firing Pruitt. That’s how we got here to start with. Let the man get his own players in school before trying to fire him.
Agreed. But it’s hard to watch Tennessee be the worst team in P5 football. Additionally, they’re just horribly coached and managed. That said, we’re stuck with him for awhile, can’t cut bait now.

I’m not saying fire him , but does he need his own guys to avoid losing to Ga state and to BYU the way we did ? Mullen doesn’t have his own guys . If you looked at Fla a couple years ago they were awful . They’re still not great and dominating us .

Ah. The "hall of fame coach" line. Always trotted out. Yes, PF was awesome in his day, then he got very fat, happy, and lazy. And entitled. He stayed too long.

Then we made catastrophic coaching hires. In a row.

It’s one thing to be bested by a more talented program. It’s another to be continually blown out by mediocre teams because you are undisciplined, uncoached, and can’t even line up properly.

Man you are totally accurate. In the 2003 Peach Bowl, the Big Orange "Elitiests" were whining about having to play this "Inferior" football team. It was not fair to play this meaningless Bowl game. Tennessee was stuffed with "Cheese" to go along with all that whine. The other team was honored to be in this game. Clemson beat Tennessee by 24 - 7. I lost a lot of respect for Fulmer. Fulmer is just a control issue now. He had no game. LOL

No, boy wonder an 8-9 win coach is a great coach. You just can’t seem to grasp that

You aren’t watching the game are you? Or the first two?

I would argue that vandy is worse but... they actually have 24 points against lsu.

Tenn slips up and wins 1 more game this year, right? Surely.

Can we have a 30 for 30 made about us?

That may be what we are trying to do.

Can’t have the mentality of keeping a coach for six years. Even three or four. As much as I want to agree, it’s just a different time. Coaches won’t last these days more than two years if they don’t show progress. Butch showed progress. 5-7 to 7-6

That’s also when the Oilers officially became the Titans and moved to their new stadium.
See the connection?
