I'll immediately question his intelligence if he accepts the job even after looking over UT's depth chart. Yeah, that's appealing right now.

Will cost more than 3 million a year, but who cares. Muschamp would help stop the bleeding on this recruiting class. He believes in recruiting like Kiffin did. It is your programs life blood.

Calhoun or Cutcliffe and you can forget this recruiting class. Stoops would be the only other that could salvage it. Remember Auburn last year...Not a good head coaching hire, but a great staff (can maybe say the same for UT), but it worked. So whomever we hire have to surround with a great recruiting and teaching staff.

Sorry, I enjoy listening Basilio from time-to-time, but I'd bet the moon he's spreading misinformation here. I don't doubt that certain offers are on the table, but I'd almost guarantee that the ones mentioned here aren't them.

Here in Dallas they are starting to think that Muschamp is leaving. They are reporting sources close to the program but nothing concrete. The moment I hear something that can be verified I will post it. I am at work and will be up all night.:crossfingers:

Texas is one of the premier programs in the country. How many consecutive 10 win seasons have they had now??

They have named him the head coach in waiting & are extremely worried that they are going to lose him to another program. Many Texas fans would rather go ahead and lose Mack Brown right now so he could take over.

Those facts alone tell me what a great hire this could be...

Rumor is that Muschamp said no, and Calhoun has scheduled a team meeting tomorrow.

We're screwed.

I think Texas is in denial that the DISCUSSIONS are even happening. lol In one of the Texas forums they pretty much were sayin that their crap don't stink and Muschamp would never take a "second rate" job like the one here in Know-Vegas. I think Muschamp will do a good a job as anybody else, plus can you think about the buzz on ESPN and what they will say about us "stealing" him from one UT to another?

He is a big name and that is exactly what we need at this point. Troy Calhoun just isn't gonna cut it, I'm sorry...

What does everybody think about this??

^^^^

Exactly, he would be the "big splash" we need to salvage whats left of the recruiting class. Hell, he may even bring a few recruits with him. Im not necessarily sold on him as a head coach but the list takes a drastic step down after him in name recognition if nothing else. Its starting to look like a 2 horse race between him and Calhoun. If i had to choose Id take Muschamp, but I understand why people are uneasy about him.

Just remember. Yesterday, our own paper wrote an article titled, "Kiffin not on the list for the USC job". People on Volnation said no way he was leaving, til the news finally broke. I don't really trust their local media saying he is staying until Will Muschamp says it him self. I trust Hubbs, if he says they are in negotiations, and I think Joe Schadd's tweet also indicates Muschamp is at least considering this. When he says no I'll believe it, just like when Hamilton announces he is coming, I'll believe that. Anything else is just speculation.

I just had a Vaseline pop-up ad on my screen with Hamilton and Calhoun shaking hands and and with a dollop of Vaseline on their left index fingers and pointing them at the Volnation saying, "It's Time."

I remember the media insisting that Tennessee was going after Butch Davis , and Hamilton said later that they never even talked to him. All of this could be smoke screens. Everyone needs to just be patient. I think we will hear something by late tomorrow.
