I root for Tennesee when not playing OU . This is a hard loss, and i understand how it feels.

OU offense was flat , mateer was in happy feet , jump man throwing mode . OU fans were so mad to see his play continue to spiral after a huge NIL investment.
this game came down to these picks thrown by Aguilar , and some crazy kicking game by Sandell.
Ou’s defense against the run was solid as usual. This is Brent‘s speciality .
I believe heupel needs to address the run game def and cut down on Aguilar picks ,which sadly gave freikimg bama a win they did not fully deserve against the vols.

i know the patience with heupel is running thin but it is a tough season and conference . Heupel could be too loyal to some assistants and some shakeup needs to happen .

best of luck

OU’s kicker is automatic and has great range, but you guys need to kick his ass for coming on the field in those booty shorts.
He looks like a fun boy

Appreciate your sentiments and I have no hate for OU yet and I think I never will..

for some reason you guys are a likable bunch..but with that said we might have done you guys a disservice with the win, I don’t think Coach V is a good coach prob a one sided guy like who Tennessee has right now also.. but it just bought your guy more time and heartbreak.. unfortunately I could be spewing the same thing we may be going thru.. I hate to be negative cause i want Josh to be great here..

The only OU fans I saw that had issues had obviously had about 3 or 4 more than they should have. Great people from my perspective. One long time OU fan sat in front of me said if the fair was taken away from the Red River rivalry the pageantry of what goes into a game at Neyland blows it out of the water. I thought that was lofty praise. 99.99% good fans from OU.

Plenty of NFL kickers sport the same look. CBs, WRs do it too. It's been going on for years. Rules seem to be optional on knee pads & uniform enforcement for certain position groups

Man it really could have. I thought at the end of the first half "these are two teams making a bunch of mistakes and trying to give the game to the other team as much as possible" and that continued through the second half.

Take away the strip return and it is a completely different game. I am sure OU had a few of those go against them as well.

In Mateer's defense, he did have surgery on his throwing thumb. I thought he was 100% legit at the beginning of the season. Played tentative still most of the first half and then started coming back around. THe jump throws were weird, but by games end he was nailing passes and running like a rabbit.

I always wonder about fans of other teams visiting us when we lose to them. I wonder if you were here last year when we won?
You kinda expect to split games with teams of this caliber, and we are good enough a program to expect that. Only odd thing is we both punted the home game. CJH has split the Ok series and is 1-1. That's doable. It'd sit better if we won the UGA/Bama games we were in position to win. It'd sit better if we didn't actually have a 80%+ chance to win all 3, and punted all 3. But, we did beat both Bama and Ok last year. Regardless of how good we are/get, I expect to drop some of those games from time to time because they are all supposed to be that good too.

Mateer was hapoy feet and jump throwing because he was scared for his life.

The interceptions and no run game was on our offensive line. Worst game they have had this year.

Both teams have at least another loss coming.
