I know people take their jabs at him and a lot dislike him but I can't imagine Tennessee football withouth Coach Fulmer. The rivalry certainly won't be the same. Coach Fulmer is a legend and a classy guy. Good luck with the replacement process.

Hopefully not. I would like for us to start winning a few times.

Kinda how we felt when Spurrior left Florida. We loved to hate him so much it was fun. At least Spurrior left on his own. Phil got the boot and wasn't scared to voice it. It will be strange though. The only two coaches I've known were Majors and Fulmer.

It was a necessary evil that was bound to happen sooner or later.
We will be fine and they will rebuild to the stature we once were.

Maybe we can be competitive again against our rivals.
The rivalries will fizzle if 1 team is dominant--see us vs alabama 1995~now.

It's a sad day for you, but I ain't buying your reasons in the least.

If I were a UF fan, I'd lobby the UTAD to keep CPF forever, if possible.

Yeah, it's a sad day for the other SEC teams. I don't feel sad at all.

Obviously we've enjoyed success against Fulmer lately but that has no reason why I am sad to see him leave.

lately? seriously?

He was Spurrier's whipping boy and has now become Meyer's. It's not even competitive any more.

well from 98 to 04 Fulmer went 4-3 against us. Only FSU matched that in that time period. Not to mention he ruined what we thought was a chance to go to the national title and SEC title game in 2001.

you can't count the Zook years and we had a much better D in 2001 than you guys.

We did have some solid times during the late 90s under Fulmer, but Spurrier generally owned him as has Meyer.

we lost that chance too...not sure if it was Fulmer's fault though, but we should have been in the Rose Bowl that year

I can remember when going to Florida was like going to Vandy. A sure win. Times they are a changin.

Sure, its a sad day for the other schools in the SEC. Wouldn't you want Foolmer walking the sidelines from now on? That's a HUGE advantage for our opponents - the guy flat out cannot coach.

Take the sack from Smokey and put it on your head...bad comment....We were a TD away from beating the eventual NC (LSU) in the SECCG...We've had 2 losing seasons in 20 years...
