Poole is the man. One game and everyone jumps off the bandwagon. He gives his all and loves his university. More than most of you can say. I was the only damn person screaming in section C

Poole, Simms and others are 100x the athletes any of us keyboard gangsters claim to be. It still doesn't change the fact that the line is mediocre and Tauren missed some holes yesterday. We have horses at WR and developing at QB. Let's play to our strengths and throw. Nickel packages will open up some running lanes.

Doggone right. He goes to the ground with the 1st contact regardless. I think this team could have a good offense IF and ONLY IF a good running game develops. Explore all options. Lane looked tough at times. Use Neal as a slot back for draws and screens. Try Toney and even line Fugate up at tailback at times and let him bull for yardage, especially on 3rd and short. The OL needs to get more physical on run blocking too.

Toney who?

2 years ago, when Kiffhole almost ran Poole off, some of you guys couldn't believe he wasn't getting a chance. Now, you think he's not good enough. Heck, many (perhaps most) of you have all the answers but don't really even understand the questions.

Poole ran for over 1000 yards last season with a very young line. He gives his all and is a credit to UT and to its football team. He's a good running back and I'm delighted he is ours.

I was dogging Poole while I was up in the stands, but after I saw the box score I realized he actually had a good game outside of the fumbles.

they still managed to put up 70+ points.

Against an Austin Peay team that went 2-9 last year. Im not saying Cincinnati won't test us, but their score against a terrible FCS team really tells us nothing. If we hadn't abandoned the pass in the second half to work on the running game, our final score would have looked much different (higher for us). Two things will be key in the Cincy gameĀ…1) shut down Collaros and 2) out scheme/smart Cincy's experienced (return 10 starters) D.

Was surprised Chaney didn't call any plays to run Fugate. He showed his speed during a nice kickoff return in 4th quarter. Not ready to bench Taureen yet, but I was also disappointed in the safety, thought he could have powered for a foot or so to get past goal line. Who missed the block was it Bullard? Lane had some impressive runs great balance and quickness.

Why didnt we pass until they backed off the line and took one LB out of the box? Having one more to block confused the entire line....Did Cameron Clear come in at all? He would provide a physical blocker to make the lanes open up.

You and Tauren Poole are the reason the Vols won Saturday.

Montana might be able to put 50-60 on AP if they played. AP is not good at all. Might as well scrimmage your scout team. IMO

No need to because the game was in hand.

Let them stack the box, get some film for the O-line to study and move on to the next opponent.

So . . . in theory, we should easily beat Cincy since they are the Bearcats and on Rocky Top. Isn't there some song that mentions a GIRL on Rocky Top who is half bear and the other half cat? Sorry, couldn't resist.

That game was never in question. We could throw all night against them. Think of it as a scrimmage who's film will be used to make the line better and maybe put a little chip on their shoulder....
