I guess that is all. I just wanted to let you know that we are not all bad, and we have our share of idiot fans, just like anyone else, but there are some good ones out there.

I am reading a lot about bad experiences with us and I Wanted to throw my two cents in.
I go to the Bama/UT game every year, whether it is in Tuscaloosa or Knoxville and i Have never had anything but good experiences with Tennessee fans. When I am in Neyland Stadium I sit in the Tennessee section and no one is ever out of line, but there is always pokes and jabs all meant in fun. Conversely, I have never seen any Bama fan being rude, or obnoxious, or out of line, although I am sure there are some.

I was at Neyland two years ago when the Bama fans were cheering while a UT Player was down and it made me sick at my stomach. This year I saw a little of the same when one of your players was down and I honestly think the Bama fans were unaware of the injury because the cheering did not last long. Maybe I just want to believe that, but I think it was different this year.

I am not trying to speak for anyone else but I think it is most unfortunate that anyone was being out of line. I have always had respect for your program and Neyland is one of my favorite stadiums in the country. Obviously I think there is nothing like Bryant Denny Stadium but I really enjoy going to Neyland.

I guess that is all. I just wanted to let you know that we are not all bad, and we have our share of idiot fans, just like anyone else, but there are some good ones out there.

I agree 150%. Thanks for your post!

The bama fans that sat near us were great. Except one guy who announced "Sucks" everytime one of our players was introduced. Looked him in the eye one time and he at least didn't say it loud enough for me to hear after that.

However, a drunk UT "fan" was directly behind me two rows up and if I hadn't worried about the embarrassment of being taken out of the stadium I would have gone after him. Apparently he coached at college level, played every position, and designed all of the equipment used on the field. Because he knew EVERY FREAKING THING and ran his mouth the ENTIRE game! What a pathetic excuse for a person. The bama couple sitting in front of us had to listen to that, and I was totally embarrassed! I'm sure they were thinking what a low life, low class UT fan it was. I was thinking the same thing.

It is sad that a few jerks in the crowd give the whole bunch a bad name. You showed a lot of class in the post. I've seen Vol fans make idiots of themselves too.

There will always be terrible fans. I think the Bama fans that were cheering "Bama Bama Bama" while our player was down knew that he was still down... he had been down for a while. That's flat out low-life range for me.

We had three Bama fans behind us, and one to the left of us. The one to the left and one to the back left weren't people I'd like to sit with ever again. Annoying, cursing everything, etc. The other two were respectful and I'd go to a game with them again.

I'm, sorry, VollyGirl,

good post.

the cheering with a player down is simply uncalled for, we can hope they did not realize he was down.

Hello Volnation members:

First off the bat, I am an old-school (61 years old, saw my first Bama game in 1957) Tide fan whose big game has always been Tennessee. Auburn has always been way less important in my eyes than beating Tennessee.
I just want to say to you all, you guys have a hell of a good defensive team. You just ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. When you get a good QB and running backs, everyone else in the SEC will have to watch out for UT.
I have been seeing "Big 10" bloggers saying that UA should have been jumped by Peeyew because they beat Ohio State (on a fluke play I must say). I guess they didn't watch the game the other night.
As for me I would put UT against either of them and not look back. As for the other teams in the "Big 10", I would take UT, any day, any time, and any where.
Hold your heads up, support your team, and remember the trials and tribulations we have had with our coaches.
Everything will work out. It has for us, so far.
Oh, BTW my first wife was from Knoxville. Maybe that is another reason I don't like UT much.

Thank you for changing my post. I just thought that the new coach thing was a given. Oh well, they are still some Tubbyville apologists down here so I guess I should have been clearer.
As I said, I'm not a texter. Hell's bells I'm just barely computer literate.
