Who is the problem? Both were given titles to run offense.....with Friend the Offensive line.
The offensive line seems to be the problem so is he the problem?

Both. I would throw rb coach in also. They took a definite step back from rg!

Friend is overrated. He wasnt that great at UGA under Richt, but I dont think he's a terrible coach. He needs talented players as most do.Pruitt hired him because they are buddies though

I don't believe anyone is begging them to stay. O Line was abysmal, all year long.

I think based on performance of the offense both the OL and the OC and the QB coach all need to go. No reason to keep any of these guys. We need an OC with experience a line coach that can get results and someone that can turn Guarantano and others in competent QB's. On defense we were in position to make plays so many times and missed tackles, and slow to close on the player with the ball.

Both need to go. I understand lack of talent but to many whiffed blocks and no ability to understand their assignment. It's like having Sal Sunseri running our offense.

According to Doug Mathews right now, we’re gonna be significantly greatly improved on the OL next year.

Why do you say?

Well, evidently because we’ve got guys returning next year, and they’re all really big guys. I mean, according to Doug, the same guys that made up the worst OL in program history this year, will come back next year, be really big, really smart and really physical. Evidently, because magic.

I’m inclined to believe it’s the OLine. The talent was thin and the talent we did have was undersized.

We’ve heard this for the past 10 years. Mathews has become a schill.

Lol, Doug Matthews. Bad players don't get better.

I wouldn't care if they fired the line coach today. Never saw any improvement. Helton had to scheme around that line to move the ball. He can pack his bags for all i care.

Friend couldnt even get his guys to get in the way of the players with the other jerseys all season. Not a pancake block, but simply getting in the way of the defensive players to marginally slow them down.

Just far too many players running free all season to chalk it all up to bad conditioning and Lyles recruiting.

I doubt it happens but I am with you. I'd have been fine with them not letting Friend on the bus back to Knoxville last night.
