Hell Olive Branch is 5 mins away from Memphis, so what the hell. I will be in Olive Branch Oct. 3 when they host The University of South Panola. Rumor has it that this the year that OB beats South Panola and ends that 58 - 0 record.
I have been wanting to go to that one for a couple of years now. I have had a few jobs in/around Batesville during football season and there are signs, flags, window writings, etc. for USP. It is like a small college town. :birgits_giggle:

Oct. 3 is a HUGE game for the Conquistadors. The place was packed last year for that game, as it will be this year. I plan on going to see OB. @ Melrose on 9/5.
That shoudl also be a good one, though honestly, I don't know what Melrose has this year.

Was the Bridges Classic last weekend? My Dad and I went the first few years but it started getting too hot for him to be sitting out there for so long.

We try and hit up a couple CBHS games (brother's alum) and a Bolton game (my alum) every year. We were at the Melrose @ CBHS game when Antonio Heffner (USC-2004) really had his break out game. I think the final was 18-17 or something. It was one of the best HS games I have ever been to.

Will it be hard to get into Maryville/Alcoa? I'm an Alcoa grad. and would like to go see them end the streak! Ironically, in high school I didn't even go to the games or care about football and now I'm all about it. Do you people realize the Vols currently have a TE from both Maryville and Alcoa?

Just got back from the Pope John Paul/Greenbrier game. Greenbrier won in a close won 20-17. JPII led the whole game only to lose with a minute left on a crazy play from Greenbrier.

You can get in, just get there early.

Many people were picking Maryville to lose to Halls tonight....NOT. Don't be too sure that Alcoa has a chance. The machine that is Maryville football just keeps reloading.

My Admirals rolled tonight as well.

oak ridge doesn't play till next week against Fulton. i don't know if i'll go or not, i've kind of stopped following the team as closely since i no longer have any friends or acquaintances on the team. hopefully they will be a little better than last season which was a little disappointing by Oak Ridge standards. I'll definitely be going to watch them play Clinton later this year though.

I wonder if Stanton Stevens will make it there, even with a state title at A-E on his resume.

Ooltewah has been basically the most loaded team the past few years (specifically at the skill positions)... but the O-line they had last year was a little lacking and the D-line a bit too. Then of course QB problems and outside distractions... they have so much speed this year its ridiculous, just need some more size on the lines... wonder if they can put something together.

38-0 blowout...I saw Gerald Riggs Jr. walk in with Quake before the game......That Jaquez kid is a beast, but so is another D-Lineman, forgot his name...Long kicked well, and Seamster had an int....

I just mean the problems they have there. The coach from my sons high school stayed there one year (last year) and came back, he said they have too many issues.

My brother went to Blacmon and he had friends that went there and hated the school.

Did that coach happen to be Kevin Creasy? He was a very cool guy.
