If simms cant improve after game four or five they need to give it to bray. He already lost the redshirt year so we might as well see what he can do if Simms cant get the job done in a few weeks. Crompton was the same way last year,but at least we saw improvement as the games went by. In my mind the clock is ticking on Simms.

You want a freshman's first game to be a night game in death valley under the lights??? Tell me you aren't serious.

I am ok with throwing the towel in this season and letting bray take over but give it to him for the UAB game or wait till the memphis game.

I have been a vol fan my whole life and have seen good qb's and not so good qb's. the last few years with ainge crompton and now simms is just getting old. look at all the other great qb's in the sec that dont take sacks for big time losses, who know when to throw it away. they also know when it is 3rd and 8 that they need to throw the ball more than five yards. i am just sick of mediocre qb's. i say bray would take his lumps this year but would be just as good as simms and in the process get alot of experience. when our line and RB's and linebackers and WR's and all juniors and seniors, they are gonna have a lot of playing time and be ready to beat some teams and bray will be a true junior qb with not a lot of PT and could hurt us. i say let him play and learn. Simms can go back to Junior College
