I thought so too but THIS article indicates that he did not and could be an OC immediately.

After the Schiano debacle, I'm not sure how we go from being morally outraged to 'ok' with poor morals. I understand there is a difference between potentially seeing/covering a crime and solicitation of a prostitute BUT the national media would have an absolute field day with reporting hypocrisy (and possibly would play well with Schiano's lawyers).

I like Hugh Freeze. He knows how to beat Saban and would LOVE to get Patterson in orange.

I didn't think Fulmer would hire a Gump Coordinator for HC either. I'm not sure we can say we know what he's likely to do anymore.

Wouldn't touch Freeze with a ten foot pole! Great coach but he is toxic. Can't have him anywhere near this program.

And Freeze would be a one year and done deal. Once the head coaching restrictions are lifted, he will be a head coach again somewhere. I would rather have someone with long term stability and a little "cleaner" name.

Good. I think it would be hard to sell to the parents of recruits a guy like that. If we're going down that road, I'd rather have Briles. Even better, hire Briles' son away from Kiffin as a big middle finger to that douche.

Who gives AF long as he wins. Fans wanted Spurrier and he's a Gatorn. No damn difference. If you can't support it go pull for someone else. It's that simple.
