I feel sick to my stomach just typing this, but Drinkwitz is probably the single most underrated coach in the sport for the last couple of years. I honestly don't think he's gotten enough credit outside of their own fanbase for what he's done there. That isn't an easy place to win, especially as a member of the SEC. I still think it is weird they're in this conference. I get it, but it's weird.

Their entire program doesn't get enough credit, honestly. I heard a lot about how they were going to be the "new Vandy" when they joined, yet they are exactly .500 in conference play (53-53).

His antics have kept that at bay. He's polarizing with his grade school stuff. He's in a recruiting dead zone, so to do what he has done is noteworthy. The school is in B1G territory and has had to survive the B12 and SEC trying to find players from somewhere. No one from the deeper south SEC recruiting bases chooses to go that far up to play SEC unless the better/more southern schools passed on you. And he rarely gets steam rolled, and somehow gets pretty decent QB's. I think his football smarts are there. He just makes you want to hate him and laugh at him. But, that has been noticeably absent so far this year come to think of it.

He's a "Looks like Jane. Plays like Tarzan" if I've ever seen one. Gator fans don't want him because they think he's weird. But they want the results he's getting! Make it make sense! I like it. I like Missouri being good. They have resources.

Their mods on their recruiting sites are claiming Freeze will be safe with 8-4 but haven't said he wouldn't be safe with a worse record.

I find it strange that Drinkwitz finds a way to keep Mizzou in competitive conversations and actually wins. He acts like the kid next door that pulls the flowers out of your flower beds
