thats true, but i think we have vastly improved from the beginning of the season...ramar is hitting more and so is chism...and our FT's late in the game certainely helped today (by both childress and lofton)

Vols would have absolutely drilled UVA if they could make their free throws. I will say that Lofton had ice water running through his veins at the end of the game though.

I aint gonna lie....when lofton was going for this freethrows at the end of the game I was thinking about the OSU game:banghead2:

They would have won more of the games they played this year if they could make the free throws. I think this is our biggest weakness.

free throws have been our downfall. If were were a 75-80% team we would have won 3 to 4 more games. Ohio State, Vandy, etc.

I kept saying throughout the game that if Tennessee loses this game, it's because of free throws and nothing else.

Chris Lofton was cold-blooded down the stretch...UVA defended him well all game, but they couldn't keep him off the free throw line in the end, and he showed everyone why he's an all-american.

It blew my mind that they kept allowing the ball to be inbounded to Lofton.

what was our free throw record today?

We were 22/32, or 68.8%. UVA was 31-36, or 86.1%.

There are a number of teams who have gone down in this tournament because of poor foul shooting. If we make it to play Memphis, they have a few clunkers in their lineup, too.

But for better or worse, Ohio State shot 85% in their game against Xavier. Tennessee needs to do better.
