Tuttle...

IF Tuttle can hold up physically, he can be a solid contributor but the NFL is much more physical in the trenches than college. Phillips probably has the best physical build for the NFL but he has been injury prone as well. It might Sapp or Abernathy with the best shots.

The "Vols SEC record" goes along with the Vols poor NFL draft record, unfortunately

Pretty easy to connect the dots that we had a talent problem on The Hill. When our 5 star type players can't get drafted that says something to me. The NFL was all over Derek Barnett and rightfully so how did his crappy development along with Tutle's crappy development begat two different type players?

Really feel bad for Tuttle. I think he could have been one of the rare Butch players who didn't let a lack of coaching hurt his development but he suffered two brutal injuries. When he played, he wasn't a liability and was a serviceable player, and if he never suffered those injuries I bet he would have been much more of an impact player.

Lack of S&C contributed to all the injuries under Butch.

I don't think Sapp has a prayer....Abernathy doesn't have the speed, nor tackling ability....Abernathy needs to go to LAW school and make himself a decent career there...

You guys seem to be forgetting that we found out Butch was begging recruiting agencies to increase their ratings of recruits!

Tennessee was the "only team in the SEC" to not have a player go in the NFL draft.

This says alot about the Vols the last several years, 3 out of 5 years the Vols didn't have 1 player drafted, no wonder we've lost to Vanderbilt 4 out of the last 6 years,
Thanks,
Butch Jones
I think that you made a mistake. I am pretty sure it should be f*** Butch Jones.

Jones was the Cooter of UT coaches. You gotta be a certain type of person special to go from head coach to analyst or whatever he is now.

The guy just wanted a trophy or ring any way he could get it and didn't this past season.

He probably told folks around Alabama they were his dream job and he knew it as soon as he played in their stadium. That's how he rolls. He was in over his head here.

There's a legit case that Tuttle was the unluckiest player of the past 4 years. A cheap shot injury, another injury, then he recovers, but has to play out of position at Nose Tackle for his Senior season. Never complained; just did his job.

Dude looked like an absolute beast as a Freshman at a posiiton where it's rare for Freshmen to look that way. Even if the injuries reduced his explosiveness some, I still think he has a good shot at an NFL roster.
