I just emailed Jimmy Stanton and got a reply VERY quickly. Here's the info he replied to me with:

2012 DISH ORANGE AND WHITE GAME FEATURES FREE ADMISSION

Tennessee Football spring game on April 21 headlines Fan Appreciation Day

The annual University of Tennessee spring football game, the DISH Orange and White Game, will be played at Neyland Stadium on Sat., April 21 and will feature free admission for all fans as part of the Fan Appreciation Day initiative from UT Athletics. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.

In addition to free admission to the game, Fan Appreciation Day will feature an autograph signing with head coach Derek Dooley, assistant coaches and Vol players. The signing, held in recent years at Haslam Field, will be held on the field at Neyland Stadium from 12:15-1:15 p.m.

For those attending the autograph signing, Gate 7 will open at Noon. Fans attending the game but not wishing to attend Fan Day can enter the stadium beginning at 1 p.m., during which time the first 2,500 fans entering through Gate 10 will also receive a 5x7 Tennessee Football mini-poster in an acrylic holder. Parking will also be free for fans attending the game

“A significant part of what makes Tennessee such a special place is the outstanding support of our passionate and loyal fans,” said Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Dave Hart. “We wanted to express our appreciation to our fan base in a tangible and visible manner. One element of that effort is to offer free admission to the 2012 DISH Orange and White Game. We are excited about our football team and the upcoming 2012 season, and we are looking forward to our spring game in Neyland Stadium on April 21.”

In addition to the presentation of the football spring practice awards by Dooley to selected players, halftime will include a flag football game between two teams of Tennessee football lettermen, with the rosters to be determined.

Just hope the nice weather we've had in March, we aren't going to pay for it in April.

Last year's game was MISERABLE. And I'm not talking talking about Bray's performance or the bishing and moaning that ensued.... :)

Cold and rainy all day. Hope it's a nice day this time.

If these guys are really maturing and getting down to business like everyone says they are, I'm betting we won't see Bray have a "bad" OW game again. Point being, if they put on a show I wouldn't care if it was snowing out there.

Thank you so much for posting this. I had just gotten my season ticket paperwork this weekend and they mentioned it in the letter but wasn't sure. So excited!!!

Good move by Hart... hopefully we can get a large crowd to attend and see where the new defense stands

I sure would like to be able to go.

Does anyone know of a cheap motel close by that's safe for a family?

There's no way I could take the pain of driving that far and then having to drive back the same day.

Is there a way a disabled person that's not wheelchair bound yet can drive up and get dropped off fairly close to the stadium to avoid having to walk very far?

Thanks to anyone that can help me get more info or point me in the right direction.

VFL...GBO!!!

I actually preferred the small donation that went directly to the academic side of UT. $5 shouldn't be enough to change anyone's mind about attending

If you called the athletic department I'm sure you could get clearance to drive up to Gate 21 because they normally have that road blocked off.

I'm also glad they are having Fans Day on the field in Neyland stadium. They used to do it this way back when I was younger, and I think it's much better than Haslam field.....another good move by Hart. Of course, this may be only because of all the construction going on around Haslam.
