Corey Walker also.. transferred to South Florida and crickets ever since....
There’s a guy at UNC Asheville and another at George Mason who have both been solid since transferring. IMOOutside of DJ Burns, most of the recruits that have transferred out have gone on to do basically nothing. I get that people want to play though, but this is why I hope Jefferson sticks it out and doesn’t transfer this off-season because he’ll technically just be a RS-Sophomore next year with 3 years left to play and a lot of minutes available on an annual Top 15 program.
I just don’t see him leaving and finding a better situation even though he probably is gone just based on how this season has started.
He did something to get himself in Barnes’ doghouse after receiving so much praise for his work ethic leading up to the European trip. As you’ve pointed out, he’ll likely see very few minutes this season barring injuries. Going 2 years without playing has to grind on a young man’s happiness. Sometimes going somewhere fresh can revitalize a person?Outside of DJ Burns, most of the recruits that have transferred out have gone on to do basically nothing. Well, I didn't say he was, or has looked explosive, quick, or super athletic. Just that his defensive deficiencies seem more related to poor defensive discipline than anything related to his athleticism. Santi isn't a great athlete, either, but he's turned himself into a good defender by being smart and staying in front of his man.I respect your take here, but I haven’t seen an explosive nor super quick/fast athlete yet. It may well be 100% related to his foot problem so my mind is open at this point. He hasn’t shown in the games so far a crazy burst like Keon or Chandler. Springer and Phillips both showed more raw athleticism IMHO. There’s a reason he was rated so high and that Barnes chose to recruit him so my fingers are crossed.
Well that seems like good news.Freddie made the trip to Hawaii, FWIWView attachment 596065

He’s probably just referencing that the pop wasn’t something so serious it required surgery…had it been an ACL or something like that then Dilione would be laid up in a hospital, not traveling across the country.I don’t read it as good or bad news. I am sure Rick would have taken him even if he has a serious injury. Just part of the quality culture we have and Rick would never leave one guy behind. Pretty sure JJJ was on the bench during the Bahamas all last season even though he never played. He was there for support.
Free trip to Hawaii? I'd take that too. Start rehab with sand resistance "work" on the beach and lots of cocktails...er, Coach, I mean pre-workout shakes....Freddie made the trip to Hawaii, FWIWView attachment 596065
Right. It doesn't mean he's not going to miss some time, but if he's walking around and travelling, it may not be too serious. He’s probably just referencing that the pop wasn’t something so serious it required surgery…had it been an ACL or something like that then Dilione would be laid up in a hospital, not traveling across the country.
People commenting one way or another were not necessarily “doomsday” prognosticators. As has been said, a plantar fasciitis injury runs a ton of possibilities as far as recovery times. Without knowing all the details of the specific injury in question, no one can really make any kind of reasonable keyboard diagnosis. Each situation is unique and can be highly variable depending on a ton of factors.Obviously, all of the doomsday scenarios regarding Freddie were wrong, as he was well enough to play several minutes against George Mason. No freshmen played against Illinois, but I expect FD to get several minutes in each of the next several games. We will need the depth he provides in SEC play & he has great potential for the future. My question is whether Jefferson is a bust.
This will be lost on those 20/20 revisionists.People commenting one way or another were not necessarily “doomsday” prognosticators.
