Have to start the annual fall foliage battle tonight/tomorrow before kickoff. Will be listening to pregame/podcasts all day leading up to gametime. Brings back fond memories of raking leaves with Dad, listening to John Ward paint a picture in your mind better than anyone else ever could.

gotta rotate the tires on the Jeep this afternoon, have dinner with the wife and then a fire in the chimenea maybe some Maker Mark (neat) and get up tomorrow and put on my latest Vol's shirt (we are 7-0 when I wear this shirt) and this is becoming a run on sentence so I will stop.

I will be in Frisco, TX tonight watching the Vols take on Gonzaga. Excited to see the BB team play this season.
You live in the North Texas area? I'm from Plano and my folks still live there. They've been looking for a Vol restaurant/bar in town, any suggestions?

Trying to decide between smothered pork chops or breakfast for dinner tonight. Going hiking up in Casper Mountain with my husband tomorrow morning/afternoon then back for the game with bratwurst, beers, and of course whiskey 🙂
What is your whiskey of choice?

Ben with the early start today! I like it!

Any big area high school games tonight? Anyone know?

I'm planning to hang out with the daughter tonight and will try to catch the basketball game at 9:00. Football all day tomorrow.

Looking out my window right now, the leaves outside my house are bright orange! It's a great time of year.

Go Vols!

Taking care of Shirley (wife) she's not feeling so good. Probably the flu. Keeping her hydrated with ginger-lemon tea and feeding her Jewish penicillin. However, I use skinless chicken breast rather than a whole chicken. For those who might be in similar circumstances and wonder about the Jewish medication, here's a link to what I'm feeding her. Jewish Chicken Soup Recipe (Jewish Penicillin)

I'm going cut out shortly and take the wife and kids out for HH somewhere. We've been talking about steaks and Kiddiedoc got my attention with his ribeye comment, so maybe scoop some steaks on the way home. Otherwise, might just eat at the restaurant. Kids bedtime is 6:30ish so I'll be home on the couch with you folks to keep me company. WS game 1 is on, might flip over to BYU and ECU football on ESPN. I've been looking for a good scary movie on Netflix or Hulu and haven't had any luck. Maybe I'll look for a new series to start. Recommendations are welcome

I live in Fort Worth. On football game days, area alumni meet at The Hideaway on Henderson in Dallas and also at Plucker’s in Plano on Preston. For more information, you may want to direct your parents to visit the DFW area Alumni’s Facebook page (University of Tennessee Alumni and Fans - Dallas/Ft. Worth Chapter | Facebook).

BTW, there are still tickets available for the BB tonight!!
