What's up VolNationals?

I wanted to start this week's thread by touching on some of the server issues from the last couple of days. I upgraded the site to secure SSL (https instead of http) and it's caused a couple of other issues related to caching and performance. I think I have most of it worked out, but please let me know if you see any board performance issues like slow page loads or errors. Your feedback helps me out a ton. Just ask @SmokinBob :)

With that out of the way, let's get into this week's off topic thread.

What's everyone doing tonight? I know here locally, playoff football starts this week. Anyone checking out a game? I believe Hardin Valley plays at Ooltewah. Any other big games in the area?

Anyone have any big plans tonight? Football, dinner, movie, gaming, pregame celebrating? Let's hear it.

What about tomorrow? I know it's homecoming, and the Vols are big favorites, but as I've said before, we only get 12 of these a year. Who's going? Tailgating? Anyone coming in town for homecoming that hasn't been back in a while? For those coming to the came, how long is your trip? Who out there has the longest travel time in order to watch our beloved Vols tomorrow?

If you won't be at the game, what are your plans? What's on the menu? Let's hear about it.

Any other big games you're looking forward to this weekend? Who's watching Bama/LSU?

Anyway, whatever you're up to or want to talk about, lay it on us.

And Go VOLS!

And since it set some record sales numbers, I have to ask, who has been playing Red Dead Redemption 2? :)

Going to the game tomorrow and sitting on the 1st row for the first time. This is probably the only game cheap enough to be able to do that haha.

Very nice! What section?

I've always like sitting close, at least on occasion. It's a different experience, I think. Granted, you don't see the game quite as well, but it's fun, nevertheless.

Now that the rain has stopped, going to the HV vs Ooltewah game this evening and drive up from Ooltewah to the game tomorrow.

Going light from the normal tailgating tomorrow. Eat at Litton's before getting to campus, have a few snacks available, brews and cigars.
Gave 2 of our tickets to a guy my son works with so he can bring his young son to his first game at Neyland. Can't wait to watch the little guy.

My childhood best friend (who lives in Knoxville) and his family are coming over for the weekend. (We live in Franklin) Bonfire with some steaks, burgers and dogs on the Treager. We have our first Am Tour golf tournament tomorrow then Airsoft and bonfire again. All 12 of our kids will run amuck and I’m sure we will scare the living crap out them all at some point. Can’t wait.

Sadly, no red dead. Even more sad, no NCAA 14 or Madden either. These are my bread and butter.

On the bright side, as a result of the above, wife and kids seem to be happier.

Sounds like an awesome, and busy, day.

When I lived in the DC area we got field passes for a Redskins game at RFK through one of the coaches we knew. It was amazing being that close and seeing how fast everything was.

I'm trying to figure out what this means. If you don't explain, I will probably spend my night thinking about it. Lol.

The "bread and butter" part is throwing me off.

Probably just means madden and ncaa are his "go to" games, but he's been too busy or has lost interest and in turn is spending more time with his wife. :)
