*****Freak's (Ben's) night before the LSU game, admittedly off topic thread

My girls have swim practice in the morning, but we will be back before kickoff. We are watching the Nebraska game at the moment, but spent most of the evening helping a fellow UT alum with beta testing his soon to open escape room business. What a fun evening. The kids were exhausted.

My wife is scheduled to get induced tomorrow at 1:00. I’m pretty excited because I found a sports bar within walking distance of the hospital that opens at noon.
Congratulations! If it’s anything like my wife’s it could be a long couple of days. You should be fine at the bar until 3:30/ 4. Not sure she’ll share the same thoughts though.

Hey Ben! Thanks for the thread.

Busy week and I think the open date has thrown me off schedule. It doesn’t seem to me like we’re actually playing tomorrow. Lol.

I typically hate noon games, but I’m actually glad it’s not a night game this week.

Go Vols!

@Freak Thanks for this site. The internet has not lived up to its potential, but this site is one of the things that makes it special.

I suppose it was hard to tell over the internet but I was only joking. I’ll be at home most of the afternoon tomorrow by myself watching football.

I absolutely despise moving. That said, I'd pack my bags tonight if my wife would move to Florida 🤣

It's been nine years since we last moved, so I'd forgotten how much I hate this. Plus, I'm almost a decade older and feeling every bit of it. But we're moving into our dream home here on the coast of SC, so I keep reminding myself the hard work will all be worth it.

I’m usually pretty indifferent towards. I even was a big fan of that 2019 team w/ Burrow. That has now changed. I want this game as bad as any we’ve played in a very long time, including 2 weeks ago. I want to kick their ass in their house.

I’d love nothing more than to boat race them in Tiger Stadium and watch the seats empty in front of the world. After hearing about LSU for basically two weeks and how Tennessee is going to get some sort of reality check. When we know where this team stands on offense, defense, and special teams. Are they great or where they should be no but damnit they’re winning and we have every right to be confident. No one wants to recognize that the Tiger QB only managed to throw for 100 yards and Hooker is a legitimate Heisman candidate. LSU is suppose to all of a sudden click tomorrow and route Tennessee just because they’re at home? Those kinds of messes don’t just get fixed over night. Home field does give teams an edge but Tennessee has the offense to not only take the crowd away but make it absolutely miserable for them in a hurry.

To hell with Kelly
To hell with LSU

My oldest was born at halftime of the Oklahoma game in 2015. Her timing was great, but a win would have been nice…

My sons (14, 22) and I are in route to Baton Rouge as I type. The youngest turns 15 on Sunday so a birthday victory will be sweet. Getting up early tomorrow to be on campus by 730. Tailgating with some LSU buddies. Driving to Venice after the game to fish Sunday morning then back to Birmingham

You fellers don’t stay out too late. Early kick off tomorrow!

40 years ago Bourbon Street wasn't safe after 2 AM. A huge gang fight broke out our last night there. 10 years ago pretty much the same, except it was just much seedier. This past June there was just a bad vibe to the place in the middle of the day. People just hanging out in doorways openly smoking weed seemingly sizing you up as you passed. The decline in that city is really just sad.

Been in ICU since Monday. Moved to private room today. Got all the hoses and wires removed. Going try and watch tomorrow without cussing and screaming.

I believe you. I noticed a distinct change even the last time I was there in 2016.

I’m sorry to hear. WTH happened? Hope you’re starting to heal up.
Hiatal hernia, got choked and tore a hole in my esophagus. Gotta wait til it heals to have it scoped and find out the real damage. Worse part is the liquid diet for at least a month.
