Spent the week in Tampa (for work) and left this afternoon to head back to Chattanooga. Stopped at a Cracker Barrel in South GA for a bite. Checking in on VN while I'm here. 5 more hours driving to go. Have a good night everyone! Tomorrow will be a great day to be a Volunteer!!!

Just got home with my son (the reason i'm In this Pathetic State of Alabama) a lot of "we are going to Roll the Vols tomorrow" while I was at work today. Yes, I was trying every way possible to counter them, did fairly well for the most part, but you know how it is... even though you cut down a fan that knows less than you about their own team you still walk away with that Empty feeling.

Anyway, I am home, going to the store later to buy all I need for the game tomorrow, and believe it or not, got a Bama fan coming AND a Gator fan tomorrow.. the Gator is planning on yelling for Us tomorrow...... so you can understand the hatred for Bama, they are ridiculous down here. Hope and pray that I do not eliminate both before the day is out tomorrow.

Go Vols!

Cold Pabst and tv tonite. Doing hot wings, rotel dip, bbq smokies and a few other items. Veered the course last week and made chili too early in the season. Going back to my B@B menu. Much better results LOL

I've got a good feeling about this game. I didn't have one last week, but I feel like this one is a chalk on the W column.

i am making wings myself.. Baking them believe it or not.. the trick Is" Baking Powder! Example:20 wing pieces, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, salt/pepper to taste, and cook em for 30 minutes at 250, then turn it up to 425 for 40 minutes...... try it, you wont be disappointed.
Also going to imitate the 12 Bones restaurant in Asheville tomorrow with Jalapeno Cheese Grits, and I am going to make the pizza rolls recipe that is on our Gameday recipe ideas thread for the kids, and Butterfinger Cake.

And Beer of course, my sis-in-law flew in from Mexico, brought me a bottle of Don Nacho Extra Premium Tequila, it is in the freezer. If things go bad tomorrow I will break it open, if things go well I will break it open.....

Go Again Vols!!!

Trying to work on my novel tonight. But can't focus due to tomorrow's game. Anytime I get going writing before I know it I have typed 3 paragraphs of 'suck it Bama, suck it Bama, suck it Bama' over and over.

Here is a good opening " sun rising over the trees, so quiet all is right in the world, there have been does moving all morning, the cool fall in the air feels so good after such a hot summer. Quite... move slow there he is, the big back straps for the freezer. HOLD ON.... I have to take the hen to the Kroger for game day fixins ... its Beat the crap out of Bama day" GBO:yahoo:

My youngest daughter is getting married tomorrow during the game.

A win would be both a good omen for Tennessee and her marriage.

My daughters know better. In fact, they would avoid Tennessee's games regardless of me. Raised 'em right!
